My husband and I usually get to Solvang 2 or 3 times a year and we never stopped here before..so glad we did yesterday. The... food was amazing .. I had chicken fried steak( was so good) and my husband had a bacon cheese omelet that was loaded with bacon..he said best omelet he ever had. Our server was Riley and her service was perfect. I'm retired after 45 years as a server so Iknow great service when I see it.She was extremely attentive and very sweet.All the staff there was very nice and they allworked well together.The food came out fast also.We definitely will stop everytime we are in the area!! You can tell this place has been around for a looooong time. The decor harks back to the 70s with a semi-Western feel to it. The... waitresses banter with each other and with the customers, but it's all in good fun. My wife ordered the Green Chili Cheeseburgerand I got the Chicken Roma Sandwich. Her cheeseburger was a little overcooked, but surprisingly juicy. My sandwich wassurprisingly better than I expected. We ordered the fries and they turned out to be really tasty steak fries. Prompt and friendly service by my waitress and the food arrived in a timely manner and hot. I ordered coffee and fill ups were... prompt and always before I needed them. The eggs were perfectly fluffy, the bacon crisp and delicious and the waffle (omg!) thewaffle was delicious with the pecan butter that was more like a delicious frosting. Decided to come here due to good reviews. I had the California avocado chicken omelette with pancakes It was good. This place... seems to very high priced for breakfast ????. But I guess it's too be expected. Since I was only here during our travels it wasstill nice to try. Service was a little slow at times. But I still recommend to give a try. Read more
Wish we could have rated higher. Staff was very nice- service was prompt food arrived in a timely manner My Hash was way over... spiced with ROSEMARY!!?? I have been going to Mother Hubbards for about 2 years now. After yesterdays experience I will no longer go there. I bought 2... chorizo burritos to go as I had to be at our job site. I was eating my burrito, and a little over halfway through it, I bit intosomething hard. I found a big chunk of glass and smaller pieces that were in my burrito. Do not trust this place. Your life maydepend on it. They blew me off and acted like nothing happened when I advised them. They stated they looked around and found nobroken glass in their kitchen. I did end up in the ER due to my throat and asaphagus iritation. Read more
