Walking in looks a bit like an abandoned restaurant so it could benefit from a renovation. The food was amazing though, I had... the Monte Cristo and I highly recommend as others did. We also had the chicken pot pie which was great and a BLT. I'm not asplit pea soup fan but of course had to try here and it is good. Our waiter was delightful and there was no wait to get seated.Oh and milkshake was so worth it! Read more

Place worth stopping to see the past but in the present. The structure/restaurant was one of the greats that is still up and... running but sadly reduced a bit due to modernization but stayed the same to keep its charm. The restaurant is huge and theinside is also big and filled with souvenirs and pastries. Stop by this place to see a classic traditional restaurant that hassurvived since the 20s or maybe even longer. The stained glass windows really bring out the charm of those years yet still seemto matter because they’re in such good shape. Everyone should stop at the Pea Soup Anderson’s just to say you’ve been herebut I also bought a few things to support this place so that they will stay open for as long as they can. So make every effortto visit it. You won’t be sorry you did. Read more

This iconic restaurant is a must stop if you're in the area. It's been around for a long time. When you enter there's a gift... shop and the area that's just full of Christmas decorations. The food is down home cooking classic diner food. But you must trythe split pea soup. I was surprised to learn that it's vegetarian. Read more

Stopped here due to all the ads we saw on our road trip home. The restaurant reeked of a skunk and the bathroom smelled like a... sewer. Not appetizing at all. The soup was decent. The toppings were not great quality. I don’t need to stop here again. Oncewas plenty. My husband felt the same way. Read more

Not only is this place in a cute danish building, but the restaurant is more than just that! There are shops located in the... building, including a year-round Christmas shop, customer-only bathrooms, a decent wine selection and a little bakery at thefront of the restaurant. Everyone inside was pretty friendly, the service was nice, and there was no wait to order a soup to goand some danishes. If you haven't tried the pea soup at Pea Soup Andersen's you are missing out!! It will be the best (rightbelow grandma's) pea soup you will ever order! I need to have my soup with all the extra fixings on the side, and the up chargefor it is not bad. Overall, anyone looking for delicious food and good service near Buellton must try here! Read more

Always delicious soup here. Staff was friendly and accommodating and food was flavorful and filling. Such large portions, after... we had a bowl of soup each, we took two bites of our dish and boxed the rest to go home. I ordered the meatloaf - juicy, largeportions, with flavorful smooth mashed potatoes and veggies. We always return for at least a bowl of soup at any location whenwe get a chance ????Also grabbed some pastries to go. Although they were not fresh (we got there just before closing), they werenonetheless deliciously sweet and hit the spot after a great meal. ???? Read more
