This is the ONLY place to go if you\'re looking for delicious, fall-off-the-bone BBQ. They make their own sauce (Mild & Spicy)... which you can also purchase jars of. The pit master is from Texas, the son of a BBQ restaurant owner, and is incrediblyfriendly. The staff is fun and makes you feel right at home.\nWe got a two plate combo (beef ribs, sliced brisket, coleslaw, andcowboy beans) with another 1/2lb of sliced brisket. I can\'t say enough good about the food. It\'s addicting, no joke. Hot,juicy, and flavourful. You can taste the love and passion they put into their entire menu. I promise you won\'t find smoked BBQanywhere better in the central high rockies than High Country! They\'re truly authentic and absolutely unreal. Read more
My son hired High Country BBQ to do the food for his rehearsal dinner. He called the Monday before the rehearsal dinner to... confirm the order and number of people who would be attending. The order was supposed to be at the venue by 4:30 thatafternoon. When the food did not come, my son started calling. They told him they thought it was for Saturday. They hadtotally forgotten the order. After numerous phone calls the food was finally delivered at 6:30pm by an Uber driver. It was atotal mess with sauce and food everywhere on the containers. DO NOT trust High Country BBQ with any of your special events. Iknow they are not welcome at Mt. Princeton. They have horrible service. Read more
Absolutley some of the best BBQ I\'ve ever eaten. Brisket and home made sauce were great, the beans were just a little spicy and... really good slaw which i haven\'t had for a long time. After eating I purchased another lb of the brisket to take with me forlunch the next day. Read more

Visited here after a local pickleball tournament in Buena Vista. Absolutely amazing BBQ made fresh in the smokers next to the... truck. Our sandwiches were packed with meat, way more than any other place I\'ve been to in Colorado.\n\nI\'ve never been toTexas so I don\'t know for sure, but this has got to be what they\'re raving about down there!\n\nThanks! Texas bbq in Colorado!!! This place has winning barbecue! The owner actually is from Texas and we were surprised by how good the... barbecue here was! I have not been a lover of ribs but high country changed it for me - so so juicy and tender, just melts inyour mouth! My typical order is a brisket and the brisket here was superb as well!\nI’m prepared to drive from Denver just tohave some good barbecue that I think Denver lacks.\nHighly recommend checking this place out!
