Reviews for Leo's Pizzeria in Buffalo, NY

Both girls working here who took my order quoted three different prices for the exact same $13.99 pizza with tax, all incorrect.... First was a number over $18 (which is over 31% tax). Then it was a number over $17. Then it was a number over $16. She saidshe was the owner's daughter and a "math major". She hung up on me when I questioned her mathematical aptitude. She blamed theregister, but I blame her school teachers for not giving her enough understanding of math to know that tax couldn't make theprice that high. You don't need a calculator or a computer for everything. At one point, she told me to call the Orchard Parklocation, because it was their fault that her register couldn't calculate tax correctly. When I called the Orchard Parklocation, they agreed with my math, but they told me that it isn't their job to teach this location's employees how to do simplemath. I wrote this same commentary in a reply to a Facebook post, which they quickly deleted so that no one would see thisembarrassing story. This is what happens when you hire family instead of qualified employees. Listen up, Leo's manager. I amformally challenging your daughter to a math competition, me and her. You name the stakes. Edit: From the owner's response, Ican see there is no possibility of improvement whenever the owner/mother makes excuses when her daughter gives several incorrectand inconsistent totals to customers. But hey, who cares if totals are wrong, as long as your employee has your DNA? That'swhat's more important in business, right? Just go to the other Leo's locations which are not franchises like this one, and youwon't get a side of nepotism with your order. Read more

Worst place to order from. I ordered a sheet pizza with triple pepperoni. They charged me for triple but only gave me regular. I... ordered a large cheese pizza, it was greasy and the cheese wasn't melted. I ordered fried which was maybe the size of my handfor 6 dollars and like 15 deep fried mushrooms for 9 dollars ?? I called the manager on the phone and she was arguing with meabout the order. I spent $94.08 that's alot of money for rude customers service and terrible food. NEVER ORDER from them theywill rip you off. Read more

Horrible. I ordered a chicken caesar salad and Honey Bee Melt. No chicken in the salad and no ranch with the Honey Bee Melt plus... the bun and chicken was burnt to the point I couldn't even eat it because all I tasted was black ash. Tried to call for a refundbut no one answered. $31 wasted. EDIT: I'm not sure how to reach the owner, they did reach out to me and said they would fix it.Just gotta figure out whether to call the store or some place else. I'll give 5 stars if it's righted. Got a steak taco, wings, and a large pie today and I was thoroughly impressed, I myself work in foodservice. The owner Karen is... fantastic, creates a friendly environment and works right alongside her employees. The crew on staff at the time were alsotimely in their service and made my food exactly as ordered. The ingredients all tasted fresh and at the end of the day productquality is what matters. If for whatever reason someone tells you to the contrary try it and judge it for yourself. This is theclassic Buffalo pizzeria, low key diamond in the rough with tremendously good food. Go to this place you will not bedisappointed! Read more

I’m new to South Buffalo so I’ve been on a mission to try every pizza spot on Seneca. This past Saturday was Leo’s turn. I... called and was greeted by a friendly voice who took my order no problem – a large pepperoni pizza and an order of ten garlicparmesan wings. 35 minute wait, $39, totally acceptable. I arrived to pick up my pizza and wings transaction was fine – pizzaand wings were ready and hot. They had really cool custom pizza boxes as well! Great graphic design. I brought home the pizzato enjoy with some friends who had helped us move earlier in the day. After beginning to dig into the wings, we realized thatthey gave us 9 flat wings and 1 drum stick as part of the order. We are normal, well-adjusted people who prefer drum sticks andaren’t flat-heads so this was a bit alarming. I wasn’t expecting 10 drum sticks at all either, more of the traditional 5 and5. Appetizer and main course. Suffice to say, I felt cheated. Now if Leo’s says “oh we randomly give an assortment of wingsto our customers!” The odds of that happening are insane and way too in-depth for me to look into for a google review. Someone earlier in the day probably ordered 10 drum sticks and they were out of it the drum sticks later in the shift. Leo’scould also say “oh that was a communication issue, we thought you said ‘only flats.’” Ok – then why did you give meone drum stick and not fulfill my order (I didn’t say flats, as I said, I am a well-adjusted member of society). Either way, they never told me they were packing it with flats or adjusted the price. They just sent me on my merry way with 9 flats and 1drum stick, charging this new sucker to the neighborhood full price. Pizza was okay, 3.5 / 5. Regardless, I will not bereturning to them as I have no idea what they will be sending me home with. Read more
