Feel like I lucked out with them serving Brisket for the BBQ of the day when we went. It was awesome. Shrimp and grits were on... point. Awesome and friendly energy when you first walk in. If you or someone I. Your party is nursing a hanger over there are a lot of... stairs to the dinning area. Totally worth it. The menu has both great brunch cocktails and mock-tails. I strongly suggest thesweet tea. You can order a French press of coffee for the table which was needed. First time I have seen it, you can order aFrench press of loose leaf tea. (Trying that next time). When you put in yo ur order for drinks I STRONGLY, strongly recommendedordering a side of biscuits for the table. They come in an order of 3, with a jam/preserve (when we were there they had Concordgrape it was amazing). Also getting the specialty pastry for the table is clutch. Everything was amazing. Oh my goodness! One of the best meals we've had in a very long time! The shrimp and grits are absolutely outstanding!! Had it... topped with an egg for brunch; added their green chilies hot sauce for an extra kick! Also highly recommend the buttermilkbiscuits. They arrived warm and served with their seasonal preserve which was Concord grape! Their sweet special was pb and jdonut holes! The cracklins were dusted with cinnamon sugar and were so addictive. My partner ordered the hash which was divine-- beautiful balance of root vegetables, smoked pork and poached eggs! Our little one had the waffle which was so good! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. When we were seated, our waitress asked us if we were celebrating anything... and after finding out it was an anniversary dinner, she brought over two glasses of champagne. The appetizers, entrees anddesserts were all amazing! We’ll definitely be back! Read more
Overpriced and bland food. The spinach was actually disgusting. It smelled like wet dog and didn't taste much better than it... smelled. The brisket was very fatty but decent otherwise. The cowboy caviar was also poor. The sweet potato pie was good but atiny portion. The rice was ok, but again, no real flavour to speak of. Service was very good and fast. Read more
Went to Toutant for a late Sunday brunch ( made reservations earlier). Started with Sunday sweet - Cinnamon Roll...it was... amazing. We ordered Shrimp Jambalaya ( from Dinner menu), which the staff readily obliged. The Tennessee chicken sandwich wasgreat as was the butter milk chicken. The bread pudding has the makings of a classic as well. Well worth a visit. Read more
First visit here and won't be the last. We tried out their Sunday brunch. Its a cute location downtown with 3 floors of dining.... The upperscale southern comfort food with a twist was delicious. Grab a cocktail or a cup of their own coffee. I would 100% getthe Nashville hot chicken dish and their homemade coffee cake again! The chicken didn't pack a tremendous amount of heat butthose flavors couldn't be beat and the coffee cake was sooo good. Their hash special was good as well but overall wasn'tsomething I'd get again. The only real poor experience was service was slightly slow. Definitely would come back again forbrunch and would like to try the dinner. Read more
