Wonderful place. Excellent food. And best of all you don't have to pay for parking because it's not in Lanier. You still are... right on the water. Will be going again. Fish tacos were exceptional. Read more

I had a great dining experience today at the Twisted Oar! Ryan behind the bar was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and... gave me an amazing service. His smile and personality made me tingle all over. I cannot recommend coming to see Ryan more! Read more

An excellent Little restaurant and bar with easy access and great views of the lake and Marina. The food was very good,... especially for a night of drinking and having a good time. The music was excellent and the vibe was lively. The staff was veryfriendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Our bartender Ryan really helped to lighten the mood by making us laugh and recommendingnew drink combinations that we had never tried before. In conclusion the food and drinks are great, but what really makes mewant to return is the staff and the happy lively atmosphere. I highly recommend. Read more

We came for the first time around 1pm on a Thursday and was surprised to see how busy they were. Drinks were good but slow at... coming out. There was a separate drink menu that I happened to notice online and asked the server about besides the few itemslisted on the menu. There is also a beer menu. Server was friendly and didn?t rush us to order and allowed us to enjoy ourcocktails. The grouper fingers are a bit small to be considered a ?shareable? and pricey for the amount. They were deliciousthough. The fish and chips were also great but we think someone double seasoned the onion straws cause they very salty. Thepeanut pie is good but seems store bought. The funnel cake fries were amazing. Lots of seating~covered & uncovered with lots ofbig screen TVs. Bathrooms nice & clean. Lots of ducks in the area & the patio is dog friendly Read more

We were out on the water all day, so the Twisted Oar was a great place to tie up to refuel before closing the afternoon... out! This is a dock based restaurant located on Lake Lanier. It comfortable seats about 300 people and services a lot of thehouse boats moored nearby. This was a Sunday and there was a wonderful atmosphere with live music and although we had to pushoff, it looked like the clientele were just getting started. The food was well priced and well cooked. The beers were cold, which was all we could ask for. Our only complaint was the time it took to get service. The waitress we had was excellent, shejust had a massive area to cover. I wouldn?t let this stop you from visiting. Read more

One of the best cocktails I have every had. I can't remember the name of it but it was perfect. The views of the marina were... nice and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the Salmon BLT and the fried fish sandwich! If theyswitched to hand-cut fries it would have been better. The fries were a little on the greasy side. But everything else was great! First time going to the twisted oar nice bar spot atmosphere for kids and adults. They have outdoor seating with heaters and... curtains to block out the wind. Kind of loud but the afc championship was on and we don't mind the loud noise. All in all wedefinitely visit again in the future. Read more
