We REALLY wanted to like this place. It's super cute, but if you're going to tote yourself as a breakfast/lunch place, you need... a good, scratch made breakfast/lunch menu. This place used freezer biscuits (tasted like a Grands knockoff), freezer cinnamonrolls, freezer hash browns. Nothing we had besides the eggs, tasted like it was from the freezer. The eggs could have beenliquid eggs from a carton. We all ordered breakfast dishes and the only one that was happy with what they got was the breakfastburrito. The staff was in way over their head, but really nice. But the large group that got seated and ordered AFTER us, gottheir food before we did. This place could be amazing if they put the effort in. Heck, we could teach them how to make scratchbiscuits that are WAY more cost effective than freezer biscuits and fresh made bread that will have customers coming back.Unfortunately, this is a place we will not eat at again. We might return to try some of the food "trucks" that are around there, but not Darlene's. Read more

I really wanted to like this place but it was awful on so many level?s. If you?re looking for everything a true country brunch... restaurant has to offer this is NOT your place. Orange juice was disappointing, clearly from a cheap concentrate mix. Mygirlfriends lemonade tasted disgusting. Coffee was so below average. No creamer or suger on the table or offered to me. I had toask and no refill. Again disappointing. They totally gave us the wrong breakfast when it finally came, waiter had put someoneelse?s order on our table. The eggs were gross. The bacon looked and tasted like it had been cooked the day before. The hashpotatoes were so incredibly bland. No salt or pepper in plain sight to even try to fix what had gone wrong in the kitchen. I?vehad better food served to me at a hospital. Honestly no joke. Whoever owns this place y?all need to get it together. This istough love for you all because with this location and the atmosphere in general there is no reason this place can?t have it all. Read more

Don?t come here on Sunday. For $16.95 you can have COLD eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast, and hash browns on a plastic... plate and eat with a plastic fork. They were all out of bacon. The server could care less once you?re sitting down.. Had to asktwice for ketchup, salt, and pepper, and it was brought to us 10minutes after we sat down. Asked about gravy and bacon to hear?it?s coming right out?. There was practically no one there. The server was focused on cleaning another table rather than ask ushow we were doing or if we needed anything. Never got the bacon or gravy. Coffee tasted like lukewarm Folgers and they give youmilk in a little to go ramekin. Whut. I don?t mean to bash this place but come on. This review can serve as a wake up call. Youcan?t be charging people $16.95 for cold food. I?m sure they can do better. Read more

Amazing breakfast/coffee experience with fun yard games for the family. Haven't been here for the evening food trucks and bar... however the breakfast was simple country home cooking. Very delicious. Read more

Really enjoyed my 1st visit yesterday. Service was good. Had Pop's pancake breakfast. The eggs were cooked right, the bacon... was very, very good. The cakes were delicious and more than I could eat. Highly recommend for a breakfast eatery in our area. Read more

I really wanted to like this place but I won't be back any time soon. Coffee came and we had no silverware to stir it. Table was... very wobbly, so our coffee spilled. We got napkins from a neighboring table. Food arrived and we still had no silverware, norsalt & pepper. Scrambled eggs were super browned, dry, over cooked. Husbands ham & cheese omelet appeared to be bacon, instead. We asked the server and she assured us it was ham, just very thin ham. If that's the case, I'd call it lunch meat. Therestaurant had 5 out of 9 tables seated with customers and it was ridiculously loud with just typical volume conversations. Theacoustics are bad. Darlene's appeal is farm fresh eggs, etc. Also, the server does not bring a paper check, but instead holdsan electric paying device where you can insert your card (I'm sure due to Covid), however it defaults to 20% tip and if you wantto change it, you can, but you're doing so in front if her while she holds the machine. That was awkward! They did offer amilitary discount and I appreciated that. Maybe it's growing pains, but I do not recommend this place. ???? Read more

We had breakfast at the new Darlene's Breakfast Cafe this morning. My husband had the waffle plate. It came with a waffle, eggs... and bacon. The waffle was delicious and the scrambled eggs were light and fluffy (I forgot to take a picture of them.) I had thestrawberry shortcake pancakes... Divine! Fresh hot coffee with a few different creamer options. I love it when restaurants haveflavored creamer! It's a nice added touch. The grounds around the restaurant are beautiful. It's nestled in an oak grove. Thismay turn into our new favorite breakfast place. They serve lunch as well, so we will try that another time. Thanks for thegreat service and delicious food! Read more
