The pastries offered here all taste marvelous. With their limited operating hours, I can only frequent the shop on the weekends.... I'm not a huge sweets connoisseur, so I usually opt for the croissants here which are flaky and subtle, and it's an amazingtreat to have on the weekends. Staff is friendly and conversational, and the experience is always memorable. Lines can get longas there are times that I've waited over an hour, but if you haven't tried it, it's definitely worth the wait. Read more

Arrived around 9am on Sunday, there was a line. Had to wait about 10m and those croissants were well worth the wait. Flaky,... buttery and delicious. We had plain, almond and chocolate. Lou was outside talking to everyone in line. Great guy, so friendly and taking time to meet and greet so many customers. This place is a must visit! Read more

I made it to Lou Bakery on a weekday morning right when it opened, there was already several people in the line so I waited for... like fifteen minutes. The butter croissant is very buttery yet super soft. It has no form and doesn't hold itself when you holdit up. Not worth the wait. I also had the pear & almond tart to go and enjoyed at home. It was tasty and not too sweet. Read more

It was my first time ordering and excited to have real French bread and pastries. The croissants are excellent, however the... baguette is not even a baguette, very very disappointed. Read more

I am sad. I finished my croissant and my perfect latte breve. Shall I eat the second croissant? No! My daughter would never know... if I just don't tell her...mais no!! I would know. Better to have a clean conscious. But how do I resist? It is sitting there onthe passenger seat, with all its beautiful layers. I think it might be humming la vie en rose.???? Read more

First of all, YUM!!! Lou?s pastries truly make me wish I lived in the Toluca Lake/Burbank area. I stumbled by Lou as I was... taking a morning stroll after my facial appointment. The smell of pastries definitely made me want to run into the shop and buyone of each. obviously, as my picture shows I didn?t buy one of each but definitely a good amount of various pastries. I couldnot pass on the chocolate almond croissants and literally everything else.. but I tried to tame myself! Lou is a must tryespecially if you?re ever in the surrounding area! Don?t let the line scare you, it goes by quickly! Read more
