After the WB bros studio tour, we were famished. We googled restaurants close to the studio and found this place. The reviews... were so good that we decided to try it. From the moment we got there, they went out of their way to make us comfortable andhappy. Too cold? No problem, they turned on the heaters. The above head heaters stopped working? No problem, they brought in apropane space heater. Food was quick and just as delicious as the reviews said. the house Chianti was great and Knowing it wasour first time, they comped us a delicious dessert. Something with salted caramel. Even though we were stuffed, we made room forit and it was just as good as the rest of the meal. If we lived here, I’d be back for sure. Great place! Ive dined in a couple times and I order takeout from here frequently and it’s a great experience both ways. When... I dine in they are always very attuned to the guests needs despite being quite busy most of the time. Their takeout it alwaysgood and a lot of the pastas travel well for it. When they do make a mistake they do what they can to fix it- i once had wrongitem from takeout but they literally sent someone to my building to give me the correct item and I just had to grab it. Very neat n nice place with warm vibes. Service is good, Reservation is required beforehand. I had Butterscotch Budino, Garlic... bread & Penne Arrabiata. Suffice to say i liked dining here but Pasta leaves a lot to be desired. First of all the portion sizeis huge, big enough for 2 people, second is Olives in the dish were bitter and ruined the taste. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese and my goodness. I never finish plates at a restaurant but here I did. My gf had the same and I... almost wanted to finish hers. The best plate of food I’ve had in a long time and the best plate of Italian food I’ve everhad EVER! Got a free desert which was really nice of them. We did not have the best experience here. I will start off by saying, the hostess was super kind and amazing. And I do... appreciate that they do have three vegan options, and they are full entrees as well. We had two people come to our table and getour drink order and asked if we needed anything. And then we had our server which was a very tall bald man come last to take ourorder. We placed our order and it took over 40 minutes to receive our food. Whenever we asked for anything like straws ornapkins we had to ask 4+ times. Our server didn't really acknowledge us. We were surrounded by two other tables and he wouldcome and check on those tables constantly and get them everything they needed not once did he turn around and ask if we neededanything or if we were okay. Not once. And we weren't okay and we did need things. Whenever we would call out to him when he wasleaving those tables he would just keep walking. We had to ask another server and the food runner for assistance multiple times.I completely understand that it was busy and it looked like they were understaffed, however we were not informed of any of thisby our server. Had he let us know it was busy but he would do his best to get to us. We would have completely understood. Hedidn't check on us it's almost like he completely avoided us. Because of this we will never return. We drastically cut theamount we are going to leave for a tip. And because of the tipping culture that America insist on establishing we still left atip. Otherwise we wouldn't have left anything. I gave an extra star for the vegan options, The sweet hostess and the food runnerand other server whose section we weren't even in who assisted us. What a find!! Really enjoyed our meal! We ate on the patio, which is not much to look at, but ended up being quite pleasant.... Closed enough to keep dirt and noise out but cool enough for comfort. We were greeted by (we assume) the owner, who was veryfriendly. He shared that he and his staff were all excitedly looking forward to an annual reward weekend trip to Palm Springsfor the weekend! It is so lovely to hear of an owner sharing good fortune and showing appreciation for its staff. The servicecould not have been better. Upon seating us, several wait staff began serving YUMMY garlic knots and water. While waiting forour son and grandson to join us, we each enjoyed a glass of wine. Our entrees came out in very reasonable time (even broughtout our 3 yr old grandson´s pizza a little earlier than ours which kept him happy and occupied! Hubby and I enjoyed thebutternut squash vegan ravioli which were heavenly! Our waiter was very kind and attentive (but not intrusive!) Our son ordereda chicken parm which he thoroughly enjoyed.
