2022.08-18/THU_1340 - Server: David. So, I went on vacation for our anniversary this year and we decided to have lunch at The... Smoke House. It was after the lunch rush when we visited so the timing was perfect. The interior was similar to a speakeasywith red leather and dark wood booths lining the walls of the restaurant. The lighting is dim and the ambiance is mellow. I dofeel that during the day, it's a great place for company lunches. We heard they have live entertainment so next time, we'llhave to visit on one of those nights. The hospitality here is great. The servers were very polite yet outgoing. David madeawesome recommendations and we always had our waters topped off and our cocktails replaced. Everyone we encountered in theestablishment was friendly, funny and welcoming. This is a good place to wind down and relax after a long day at work. Mostdefinitely. At night, I can see this being a fun place to relax. We started with a couple cocktails and ordered theirsignature cheese bread. The garlic cheese bread is tasty. The bread has a light crust and it was covered with cheese. Cookedto a golden brown. The Crab Stuffed Mushrooms were juicy and succulent. It's been awhile since we've had lump crabmeat so Isavored each bite. Just the right amount of sauce to compliment the dish, too. We decided that maybe we should hold off onfinishing the mushrooms until we receive our entrees. We ordered the Prime Rib and the Rib Eye Steak. Absolutely delicious andcooked to perfection. The horseradish with the Prime Rib just melts in your mouth. My Rib Eye was topped with an onion ring andwas served with creamed spinach. I also ordered a side of mushrooms and onions to smother and cover my steak. I still ate themseparately because they were tasty and caramelized - just as I like them. They couldn't have cooked my Rib Eye more perfect. The gristle flavored the steak well. Each piece melted in my mouth like the Prime Rib. Primo. We were too s Read more

We had to work in the evening at a site nearby and this was perhaps 2 miles from where we were working. We didn’t have plans,... we just picked something near the site with good reviews. Very accommodating, they got us a table spur of the moment. Very niceservice, wonderful food. And the history associated with this restaurant is amazing. It was almost like stepping back in timewhen we walked in. Read more

Took my niece for her college spring break...her first time in LA. Her favorite movie is La La Land which was filmed in part... here. The smile on her face would have been worth it but the service and food topped the night off. Me and my sister ordered theblackened salmon and both said it was the best we had ever had. Garlic bread is legendary...a must order. Overall, I must goback just for the service and food. I am not easily influenced by status or celebs but this was a great experience! Happy topost this review. Read more

Great service! I search for the best French Onion in the area and it recommended The Smoke House. Let me tell you, the French... Onion soup was delicious and flavorful. The Smoke House Prime Rib cut was cooked to Perfection. Bathrooms are located in thewaiting area to be seated. There is valet parking, which is $8 bucks. There is on street parking but, it's a little toughparking on the street. French Onion soup is only available on certain days, check their website. I highly recommend stoppinghere for a bite to eat. Ok—they really do have the best garlic bread in the world—not even kidding. I got that and the salmon Caesar salad. Huge... portions. I walked home with a take home box as if it were gold. Salmon was perfect. My glass was never near empty, and I nevereven had to call the server. Super friendly service, great menu. Honestly, the best service I’ve had at a restaurant in 15years. Atmosphere is great, classic lounge setting on one side, restaurant on the other. Lots of old Hollywood memorabilia. Also, there’s a decent amount of free street parking if you don’t want to pay for valet, but the valet was prettyinexpensive compared to other places I’ve been. I’m pretty sure this is going to turn into a regular spot for me. Read more

We wanted to eat here because we are all fans of the office and who knows when we’ll be back in LA. I would give it a 4/5... rating because they were nice, but I didn’t feel like our server cared too much. The food was good but the price was not worthit. I usually don’t complain about price at all but then again we are in Los Angeles, and I’m sure they have lots oftourists who come by. But the lemon pepper chicken plate was $30. To me that’s a bit much. But I will say the salad and thedesserts were really good. We also got this cheesy bread that was delicious and fried pickles but I didn’t get a chance totake a pic of them. Anyways I probably wouldn’t pick this restaurant for a lunch or dinner, but it was a cool experience. Aphotographer took our pics and gave us a free postcard and we ended up buying the photo he took for the memories. Overall it wasnice! Read more
