This place is like a small town bar but it's pretty big! Nice food menu. Pool room downstairs! Close to the airport.
I had walked by this local Bar and Grill, many times, but never was brave enough to venture in. Perhaps always a little... intimated to trying a new place, especially bars. I just like setting and chilling out perhaps having a nice beer on tap, andsome good food. Well I found Elmer's Bar & Grill a nice place to do just that. Went in between 12-3pm on a Thur afternoon.Discovered they were serving tacos ???? for only a $1.00 a taco. They were beef tacos in the hard shell. I ordered 2, and smallbasket of fries. (All of it was great!) The tacos really hit the spot. Since I was considering going to the Taco Time just twomore blocks down the street. The Tacos ???? at Elmer's far outweighed any thing I would have received at Taco Time. And far farbetter price on top ???? of that. Did not order beer, just a soda. But found the atmosphere or decor, to be like "back home Iowaor Midwest vibe" with locals "shooting the breeze" (talking or conversation). It was relaxing and good food to top it off, onthis visit. Only had a burger and 2 rainiers. Live music was good. Friendly staff etc. Nothing bad to say just your average seemingly local... spot. Slightly older crowd. Burger was not amazing but nor was it bad. And the fries were actually pretty bomb. 4/5 across theboard for the price. Read more

The ambiance is a little stark but the drinks are tasty and the prices are good. The apps I tried were straightforward and good.... The large tots were enough for 4 people! And the poppers were yummy. There was live music the night I went and the band didreally great covers of rock songs. I'll totally return! Read more

It's a dive bar, plain and simple. Cheap drinks, good food, cheap and tasty taco's, pull tabs! Atmosphere is not Elmer's strong... suit, but if you need a drink and some food, this is your place! Service is excellent! Read more
