SAO offers excellent Italian fair and features great service. We visited on a Monday and it was busy. The outside seating area... is comfortable and well laid out. Our server was professional and welcoming. I always have chicken parm at new Italianrestaurants and theirs is a solid offering. Our gnocchi and meatball appetizers we also on point. We really wanted to like this place. It was highly recommended. But after finding two hairs in two different dishes, food that... wasn't impressive, and the bread pudding tasting stale, I just can't recommend this place to anyone. If you're in Burlingame andwant good Italian food look elsewhere. If this place was half the price it would be 5 stars. But at this price point, I'd expectbetter. Read more
We sat outside and the service was excellent. We shared the meatballs and burrata for appetizers which were both great. Only... issue was that the lasagna was a little cold when it was served. Had dinner reservations for 5:30pm on a Friday night. I suggest making reservations — I did on a Wednesday and 5:30pm was all... I could find (or 9:30pm).
