One of the best wine bar in town. We love their indoor seating, with comfortable lounge sofa and excellent vibe for wine... tasting. They have friendly staff that gives great recommendations. We took 3 bottle home on our first impromptu visit, and arevery happy and glad we did, because they also have some great wined on sale from time to time. Read more

This is the establishment that downtown Burlingame needed! The ambiance is perfect to relax with a glass of wine. They have... pleasant music playing in the background and somehow the acoustics of the space made it easy to converse without having to talkloud. They offered me a complimentary sparkling wine as soon as I sat down! The wine selection is huge, even though I didn'tknow much about particular wines, I described what I liked to the owner Jason and he ordered delicious wines for me. The staffwas very friendly and the open layout, high ceilings, and seating areas are very inviting without feeling pretentious. I loveoutdoor seating and this place has a small outdoor patio in the back. They offer small plates that pair well with wine. I triedone of the deserts and it hit the spot. Lovely, and much needed, addition to the Burlingame landscape. This little wine bar offers a fun array of glasses and bottles... for in-bar and take-home service, with stunning decor and a warm and friendly service experience. An especial shout out totheir cheese and charcuterie combo board (the genius move of the owner's wife). Highly recommend stopping in and giving it a tryor six. Read more

Velvet 48 is a wine shop paradise in downtown Burlingame. They have a great extensive selection of exquisite wine and small... bites you can explore . Love their exceptional spicy red wine flight Bodegas Borsao Grenache-Smooth and tasty with notes ofaromas and cinnamon, hint of spicy ginger , lovely soft flavors and little tannin. A must try wonderful wine to enjoy anytime. Service was good and helpful with recommendations. The ambience is nice and relaxing . The interior design is chic andbeautifully decorated with sparkling lights, high ceilings, and huge windows. Comfortable outdoor patio is available as well .
