Terrible experience. Waitress, Taylor, is rude, just trying to order we had to repeat ourselves several times. When I tried... ordering I ordered bout half the menu before I was finally able to order. Kept telling me that they won’t make that andcan’t make this. Yet another member of the group was able to order the item I tried ordering just moments before. When foodcame several things were missing, incorrect, or just plain out didn’t receive even after requested when they didn’t get itthe first time. Even one of our party members didn’t receive her food until twenty minutes later after everyone was doneeating. Absolutely terrible. Don’t bother here. Read more
Had the best pickle chips and pork tenderloin I've had in a long while. Portions are more than generous and I had enough left... for lunch the next day. Food came quickly as they were not busy around 5:30 on a Saturday. Overall enjoyed eating here. Read more
This place is absolutely disgusting. The owners do not require the Kitchen staff to follow safe serve rules. No one washes there... hands and there is alot of food contamination. We used to like coming here. Unfortunately this time the service (or lack there of) was very off putting. I want to think we had... more interaction with other waitresses then our own. It was after 5pm and there was maybe 1 or 2 other tables in the restaurantand maybe 3 tables outside. They were very attentive to their tables, I’m not sure why ours wasn’t. We had to wait like10-15 minutes to pay and that was because I went and approached them. Read more
First time here and I'm not impressed. Both my onion rings and French fries were under cooked and luke warm. Both of our burgers... were to be medium and came out well done. Both the strawberry blond and raspberry wheat tasted good but could of used a morefruity taste. They've done well cleaning up the place and the nachos were great. Read more
This is the second time we've been here since the new owners took over. Although their Facebook page says beers are brewed in... house, that's no longer true. All of the brewing equipment was removed a couple of months ago. They're still serving someleftover Bent River brews but the tap beer menu is subject to change when they run out, which seems to be frequent. The newowners touted a new menu. We tried the poutine fries. Nothing special-gravy poured over soggy fries, very salty with a lot ofcanned corn to give it that special "Iowa" touch. Tonight, we tried to order two beers that were on "the board." Both were out.I asked the waitress for a list of their beers which she gave me. I tried again to order a beer but was told the list wasn'taccurate (the waitress said the list "wasn't right" but she gave it to us anyways.) I went inside and after making someinquiries found a beer they had. We ordered one of the new menu items-the pork belly tacos. They were as disappointing as thepoutine fries. You would expect the meat to be marinated? braised? something? but it tasted like an old pork chop. The sour redcabbage was all you could really taste. The waitress was obviously new in her job. But you would expect a new waitress to knowwhat they had in terms of beers. This is the last time we're going to the new Bent River. Read more
