First time here. We almost walked out when we walked in as the smell that hit us was like an old moldy building. We walked in to... the one bar area and after seeing the interior I was intrigued and wanted to stay hoping the food was better than the initialimpression. We were greeted by a very busy but friendly gentleman. We were seated in a beautiful dining room that had a realfire and the lighting was beautiful. The food came out hot and fairly fast. We went on a Monday Night! I had a taste for some Italian food. The service was great! I had fresh pasta with scallops,... lobster, shrimp in a cognac sauce. It was amazing ???? I couldn?t eat it all. I was so full they gave a nice portion. THELOBSTER BISQUE SOUP WAS EVERYTHING. I had a big bowl & almost finished it. I was so full, I couldn?t finish my dinner. Heordered penne vodka with chicken cutlets. He said that was great also. The sauce was wonderful. It was just what he wanted! Isee that they have live entertainment Thursday-Sunday. Check them out. My mother took me here with a friend before I left town. I had the lobster bisque soup with the New York strip. The soup was... delicious and nice and hot and even though I ordered a rare steak and got medium rare it was all so delicious and tenderincluding the sauce. Potatoes were well seasoned as well. Driving home from a tournament and found this gem. The food was so good. You can tell it is a local favorite. I ordered the... gnocchi and couldn?t decide the sauce so the main man (most likely the owner) suggested half and half. I ended up with have fourcheese and half pesto and both were great. Lobster bisque soup special was delicious as well along with the red snapper entreemy husband got. Very happy we stumbled upon this place! When we come back next tournament season we will definitely stop by!They also had live music that was great while at the same time not at all intrusive to dinner conversation. Highly recommended! We went to El Portico for date night, because I saw a sign that there's live jazz on Thursdays. It was so nice! Service, food,... and wine were all excellent! And the entertainment and open mic was so lovely and romantic. We will be returning. Read more
