We were there following the lunch rush. The restaurant was clean and neat. The food is good if you like Southern style home... cooking. The deserts are awesome! All items (except the candy) are prepared in house. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Afterseveral times eating there, my opinion has not changed. Read more
A warning? do NOT eat here. I should have looked at the Alamance County Health Department Restaurant inspection when I saw they... had sanitation score of less than 95. Afterwards I did? They have a plenty of sanitation issues and food temperature issuesaccording to Health Department. Drove all the way from Greensboro to have supper here. The slaw was very warm and I was afraidof food poisoning. I told the waitress and she brought some cold slaw. Broccoli casserole had hard pieces of something in itand tasted days old. Chicken tenders were stringy and not fully cooked. Corn and Lima beans were questionable (old?) and notflavorful. I really wanted to like this place and was looking forward to eating here. Not worth the hour round trip and wefelt a little nauseated after we left. Oh yeah? they were WAY overpriced. The meal for 2 with tip was just shy of $30 . Wewill not return to this establishment. This is a classic Southern Meat & 3 type restaurant. I loved looking at all the historical photos on the walls, as I'm still... getting to know the area. Food was good. Atmosphere is comfortable. We had a great lunch and the fish special was tasty, aswas the carrot cake we indulged on, and I'm pretty critical of carrot cakes. Read more
