I have been coming here for years and food was always fabulous, especially the pizza. Today was the first time I have gotten a... poor quality pizza from Sal's! Returned with the first pizza and yes, it was an hour or so after ordering it (because oferrands), the manager on duty was a rather rude when I pointed out this was just a basic pizza with a few extra toppings I hadasked to be added on, instead of their usual 4 cheese with extra. She tried to point out near invisible specks of Parmesan. Shedid not offer to make it right and was huffy after seeing the time of the receipt. Basically, she just did not want to hear it.She went back to speak to the on duty head chef, who came out to speak to me and he at least offered to remake it or giverestaurant credit. (Apparently they also don't give refunds back in original form of payment either, so beware of that whenasking for a refund.) I took the offer of the remake and honestly it was barely better than the first one. They have lost a longtime customer. Their food has become subpar and they have jacked up the prices on everything. Customers bewary of Sal's! Read more

8/22 Update: They have remodeled and the place looks great. Food is still very good. The eggplant parmesan was not on the menu... but available, and was excellent. Large portions, plan on taking some home. The sandwiches on the lunch menu are quite large.Note: Don't turn into the driveway at the light; you will end up in the fast food restaurant parking lot. ----- Good standardItalian food. Caesar salad was terrific; baked ziti very good. Not a lot of vegetarian options. Read more

The only thing good was the single basket of bread. The waitress was too busy chatting with two tables to realize she had tables... who needed things. The salad dressing was so watered down it was pathetic. The garlic in the marinara was raw chunks the sauceitself was watery. Like they took a can of sauce & watered it down a $26 plate they put 2 clams on. All in all I'm done withthis place I guess I'm not the only one with this view as the only people we seen there were well over 60. Read more

Visited this place with my sisters for the 1st time recently & we were pleased with our server who was nice & attentive. I... wasn?t a fan of the chicken sandwich I ordered but my sisters enjoyed their food. The breadsticks were decent but the marinarasauce was literally the best I?ve ever had anywhere! I?d love to come back & try their pizza. Read more

I ordered the $5 personal pizza which came with 3 toppings, and the chef salad. The pizza has 6 nice size slices, it needed a... little bit more sauce but it was good. The chef salad was large, the ranch dressing looked a little off but tasted ok. I usuallyget free breadsticks with the salad, but I didn?t receive any. Overall you get large portions with ok taste. So, let me start off with when we first entered. The hostess seemed annoyed from the beginning. She sat us at a table and asked... for our drink order and my mother-in-law ordered an ice water and the hostess began to explain that my mother-in-law ordered icewater with lemon and no ice. She got flustered and angry at my mother-in-law for reiterating that ice water should come withice. My father-in-law and husband both ordered unsweet tea and were given sweet instead. Okay, that incident put aside, thewaiter took our order. He was nice enough, however; the first time he came back to our table he told my mother - in- law thatnoodles did not come with her meal (it says, on the menu, that noodles come with her meal and a salad can be added for 2.59extra). He was asked to check the menu and when he came back the second time he told her that she was right and a salad could beadded for 3.99. She then took a menu and showed him the salad is 2.59 and NOT 3.99 extra. That incident down and over with, thewaiter comes back for the third time. Now I would like to point out that we had been waiting for about an hour for our food toarrive. The waiter tells us that he accidentally pressed hold on the order and that my father-in-law's meal and my meal were upand ready to be served but that my mother-in-law's meal and my husband's meal were going to take another 7 minutes. THEN, youmight think it's over but oh no! It's not! Not even close. He finally brings out my husband's and his mother's meals. My husbandhad to stop him and remind him that he did not order a pizza but that, instead, he had ordered a sub. The waiter then tried tosuggest that my husband asked for a small personal....Before he could finish, my husband corrected him and said that he ordereda small sub. I guess the universe didn't think that was enough of an experience in poor service because there was even more tothis adventure. The meal my mother-in-law got (chicken parmigian) was horrible.
