Tried Chef's Door today for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken shawarma combo (includes fries and a drink)... and it tasted great. Grabbed falafel wrap for lunch from here. Basic 2 ingredients and not much spice or salt . Didnt like the taste much as it was... pretty stale for me. Otherwise place was clean and staff was nice . Hope they add some spice sauces or seasoning . Also, stuffwas fresh in the wrap for sure. Read more

I don?t know how this place could get any bad reviews? I stumbled across this place by accident, as we were in the plaza. I saw... the reviews and I thought why not give it a try; safe to say that I wasn?t disappointed at all! The pictures don?t do anyjustice. We met the owner and he was very nice! All of the food not only looks fresh, but tastes fresh. The chicken didn?t havean overbearing taste and was very fresh. The rice and potatoes were amazing and yes there were big chunks of carrots for theflavour which is amazing. We dined in, and the place is very clean as well as the washroom. Hey guys, we went to this restaurant today and here is my honest review: Pros: - Convenient location in a big plaza. Close to... important landmarks and highway. - Nice decor, a mix between modern and authentic. My personal opinion they should?ve made itmore authentic than modern. - Good selection of Arabic music that we enjoyed in the background while eating, not loud orboring. - Everything was clean - Very friendly and respectful staff (the Egyptian guy and the blond lady). - Fries were anotherlevel. Just like the book says (crispy outside and soft inside). The touch of sumac (spice) was an excellent addition to thedish. It came very hot and the quantity was enough for two adults. Cons: The Falafel wrap wasn?t hot. We gave it back to himand he was understanding and apologetic. He put them on the sandwich warming machine. They were hot from outside but everythinginside was still cold (looks like falafel was pre-made and not fresh), so that was a killing point for us. - The ketchup for thefries should come in bottle instead of the small packets. Summary: There are many reasons to enjoy this little restaurant andif they take these small notes positively and fix them it can be much more enjoyable.
