A small family run Caribbean joint with a long legacy. This place has the best Caribbean rotis in town. The goat and chicken... rotis are its delicacy with your choice of spice level. The curry is deliciously savoury if you opt for a little less heat. It?sso good I always ask for extra gravy. I got the beef roti, and a double. It was one of the best dishes I have ever had. Very reasonably priced. It can get pretty... spicy so be careful when getting the appropriate spice level. I went hot and I sprung a few more chest hairs now. The doublesare so pillowy soft, and the chickpeas underneath are firm yet floury when your teeth sink into them. Food is okay, I ordered large goat roti, large jerk chicken roti, and large jerk chicken dinner. Both the roti?s I thought... lacked flavour. The meat was nice and tender, lots of potato. I absolutely adore D Hot Shoppe! I work close by and whenever I feel like take out or forget my lunch, this is the place I think... about. The food is SO delicious and flavourful, the pictures look EXACTLY like what you get and the prices are on point. Iusually order the goat roti, or pholourie but have tried the jerk chicken meal as well.. equally as good! Highly recommend. Tip:order extra gravy, honestly you never have too much! Read more
