Friendly service, food was okay. Waited 15mins before anyone came over with menus. Then waited an hour after we ordered for our... food. Another party came in after us and got their food and finished it and left before we got served. Rice was cold, and aburrito someone in my party ordered was cold. Place is beyond mid, last time I came we got seated and then no one ever came to our table for orders. They weren’t busy, they... were all just chillin over by the register. I tried to flag people down a few times to put in some drink orders, but 20 minuteslater just left. Read more

Incredibly disappointed in this establishment. I have worked in full capasity in the restaurant industry for way over 25... years...NEVER have experienced such poor guest service. We arrived at El Gato at 5 minutes before close, after our flight beingcanceled and sprinting based on great recommendations. We were turned away at the hostess stand in some shock but still decidedto give our business to them and grab a margarita before close. We were ignored by the bartender, and then eventually KICKED outbecause we "offended" the hostess with our questions on why we couldn't be served? I can't believe the service I received fromthis establishment...never in my experience have I ever treated a customer nor seen a customer treated so poorly. Arent wereliant on guests for the success of our establishments? The tables were full, menues still down and food coming out of thekitchen. 9:00 is close right, any evening in my restaurant 9:00 is closing for seating...kitchen closes appropriately fromthere, otherwise lock the doors. I was at the Burlington establishment last Thursday. I'd like to note that our sever was wonderful, attentive and friendly.... However, I ordered a fish taco and ended up getting violently ill for 8+ hours. This was the only thing I ate that day so I'mpositive it was from the fish taco. My friend, who ordered 2 different tacos and ate the chips and salsa with me, was fine. Thiswas one of the worst experiences of my life. By the time I was able to make a call to let the restaurant know they were closedfor 2 days. I hope nobody else got sick! Read more
Had a girls night out while visiting town. You get chips and salsa to snack on when you first get there and the waiter was quick... to get us waters, and take our order when we were ready and kept checkin in on us to make sure we were satisfied and to see ifwe needed anything. My chicken quesadilla was HUGE with chicken, cheese, peppers, sour cream and guacamole. I had to bring halfof it home for a midnight snack as it was so thick and filling I couldn't eat it all in one sitting. All my other friendsenjoyed their meals too. I love the paintings and pictures. The Frida kahlo painting in the bathroom is awesome. I hadn't beenhere in years as I dont live in the area anymore but I would definitely come again. Read more
