We?ve been here, as well as the Robson location, a few times. The food has always been okay, so is the service. However, this... visit made me want to post a review. The two of us ordered two dishes: shredded pork with rice cakes and braised pork withbuns. The rice cakes were decent, quite standard. The braised dongpo pork was not what we had expected. We expected the pork tobe cooked long enough to partially ?melt in your mouth? and more flavourful. We were surprised to find the pork plain (or whatwe say ?white-cut? in Chinese) with the sauce on top, rather than cooked with the sauce fully absorbed. It was also far from?melting in your mouth.? Really tasty place for Taiwanese and Shanghai cuisine. Large menu with something for anyone. Only complaint is the poor air... conditioning as the place was absolutely baking when we went during the recent heat wave. So, be warned if you go on a very warmday as it may be quite warm inside. Pleasantly surprised! Excellent service, modern, clean, and very affordable prices for what you receive. They were out of a few... items, but the dishes that we did get were tasty. 3 people came to $50 including tip with high satisfaction. Make sure to trytheir xiao long bao! Read more

Having an open kitchen, knowing all customers will be able to look at everything going on inside a kitchen that we all eat the... food from, if you decide to put on a mask, please put them on properly. Having a mask under your chin, making it LOOK like youare following the order but actually don?t care how to follow it properly, just makes it even worse than not following it. Allof our food was decent for the night. One star is good enough to give towards it. Service, on the other hand, was notimpressive. No one bothers to clean up the dishes after all food was done. I have just visited the one in Richmond and now visiting this location - the decor here is not quite as striking but the service... is very warm and friendly and the little robot zipping around is very entertaining. ???? The portions are large, very tasty andplated in an eye catching way. The scrambled eggs with prawns was delicious, so was the prawn fried rice. The crispy panfrieddumplings were rich and interesting to look at when they arrive. Crispy outside, juicy inside! The fish in a spicy garlic saucewas tender and perfectly cooked. The egg and pork dumpling soup was just perfect on a rainy night. The steamed sesame paste bunswere the perfect end to a meal. I have returned twice this week. Read more
