Lougheed is filled with Korean fried chicken options and this place shouldn?t be missed! The owner is very nice and was social... towards us and other customers. As for the food, i have never tried snow cheese onion rings before and I think they are a musttry. The yangyeom was crispy with a stronger garlic flavour which is nice. My new favorite spot! The breading on the chicken is thinner than the traditional dredging, and ultraaaa crispy. The chicken is... super juicy and flavorful. My favorite was the snow chicken. A really good place to get korean fried chicken. The staff are really friendly in the restaurant and were very polite with us... the entire time. We got a kimchi fried rice and two kinds of fried chicken, the staff recommended the best tasting ones to usand they were not lying. The rice was really satisfying and the chicken was really delicious as well. 10/10 would recommendcoming to pelicana! Get the snowing cheese chicken, the cheese makes the chicken taste even better! First time trying Pelicana Chicken, a new comer to the Korean fried chicken scene. Ordered the half & half fried chicken and the... snowing cheese fries. The half & half only comes in 2 set flavors - original fried and original marinated which is slightlyspicier & sweet. Was pleasantly surprised to find that they have all day Happy Hour prices - $1 off appies and drink specials.The snowing cheese fries have powdered Camembert over them, not bad. (These type of fries seem to be a staple at all kfcrestos). My only complaint was that the original marinated chicken was luke warm, almost cold. The original was warmer, butneither were hot (temperature). The fries were piping hot. I?m guessing that as part of the dinner rush the restaurant hadprepped a lot of fried chicken in preparation for orders and ours had been out for awhile. It did come out before the fries.Other than all else was great - friendly servers, a nice little place to grab a bite and have a beverage. Will return! Read more
Pleasantly surprised by this Korean fried chicken!! One detail I liked most about this restaurant is ability to choose 2... seasoned flavours for the half and half option instead of original + seasoned as my friend and I both don?t really enjoyoriginal Korean fried chicken. Cost us about $20 per person. I enjoyed the Soy flavour a lot. The cheese flavour was okay too,but I preferred the soy. Boneless option is great if you like dark meat!
