Stopped here on our way back from the Eagle Nest Trail. Great food, large portions, nice historical place (building from the... 1800s). This restaurant deserves 6 stars. The food is absolutely delicious! My partner and I dropped in for dinner the other day... (reservations are recommended) and thoroughly enjoyed an unhurried meal in what used to be a general store built in the1880s. I had the pickerel special, while she had the steak. Both were superb! The wine list is short but good. And theycarry a number of craft beers. The carrot cake I had for dessert was awesome. The service was friendly and prompt. Beautiful and very old 18th century restaurant. Located on way to Eagles nest lookout. Unique blackbird theme with lots of... antique stuff decorated inside. Rice with chicken was tasty. We are visiting form NL and just stopped here for lunch. Our meal was delicious . The portions are huge. You will not leave... hungry. The absolute hilite was the homemade coconut cream pie. We had a lovely lunch here - great food, a cozy spot (wonderfully decorated) and lovely friendly staff. All the food was... excellent - but the desserts we got to go were phenomenal - the cinnamon latte cheesecake and the coconut cream pie were both*outstanding*. Definitely a spot we'll come back to!
