Tried this place after seeing it featured in an article as being the best fried chicken in the DC area. Not sure if that's true... but it is very good. Funny thing is we have noticed this place for years as we frequently eat at another restaurant in the sameparking lot. This place sits back off the road so you would never notice it. We would always ask how is this place still openwithout being noticed. Well after tasting the chicken now we know. Can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu. Would definitely recommend. I recently ordered a large quantity of chicken from Chicken Basket In Burtonsville, MD. I already knew they had delicious... chicken so I am letting you know this is the place to go. I walked in and was greeted and told before I could ask that my preorder was ready. No waiting if you pre order. He was just taking it out the fryer. The pan of foil wrapped chicken stayedpiping hot all the way to my destination (30 minute drive).The chicken was crispy and moist (even the breast pieces were moist).Stop by when you feel like some good ole home cooked tasting seasoned chicken. The seasoning was on point and I love crispy skinon chicken. I will return again and again for my orders. The best tasting chicken for sure. Go taste and see! I’ve wanted to try this place for a while. After leaving the gym, I finally decided to give it a shot. Frankly I will not... recommend this to anyone. This was the first time I felt I’ve FELT racially profiled in a while. This is a small location.. Iwalked in, there’s a door bell, the two people there didn’t even speak. I waited and looked at the menu for about 3min, theystill acted like they did not see us standing there. I’m sure they heard us because my friend and I was talking. Still nogreeting or anything. I've been frequenting this location for about ten years now, and it's still a reliable place to get halal fried chicken at a... decent price point. Fair warning that it's a bit difficult to access the store because of the roads in the area, but I cancompletely guarantee that it's worth it for the big pieces of juicy chicken you'll be receiving! I'd also recommend getting abox crinkle cut french fries with your chicken— it makes the dish feel all the more complete! Read more
Ordered two chicken dinners on 7/20/18. Our dinners were delicious, even the coleslaw that came with the meals was good. The... total price for the dinners was reasonable too. Three things I do not like is their location and they do not have enough parkingspaces. You have to drive behind another restaurant to get to this Chicken Basket location. They also share parking withanother restaurant. You can not see their establishment from the main road. I like going to this location because the folks whotake your orders over the phone are nice and repeat your orders back to you. They also alert you on the time of when your orderwould be ready. WOW! A local establishment, It has been around for a long time, and I just discovered them!! A little off the road, It is sure... worth to try!! they do have quality food! The Fried Chicken was very Crispy with a very fresh, Yummy Taste! If you don't likethe wait until your fried chicken is ready, I do recommend to call a head. The Place is Clean, and there is no way not to noticethat. Next time I will try the Lamb Gyro, while I was waiting for the Chicken, I noticed the Rotisserie Gyro Machine Spinning! Read more
So...today I ordered 12 chicken strips with fries from Chicken Basket. The total was $26.00. This same order 2 months ago was... $15.95. The chicken tenders are not the same. They have a lot of extra breading which makes it seem as though you have amouthful of flour. As they have overpriced this item, they NEVER have to worry about me coming back again. Not only do I haveto deal with serious rising of costs, but the food was disgusting as well. Be well chicken basket. Read more
