I always enjoy our visits to Ponderosa. The food is very good and the buffet is usually well stocked, but the food could... certainly be a bit hotter. The servers are friendly and attentive. The dining room and restrooms are clean. My only complaintis that the desserts never seems to change. ( For years, it's been just about the same old variety) I already know what'sthere so I don't bother going over to the desserts unless I'm craving a cookie or cheesecake. Read more
It has been a long time since being at a Ponderosa restaurant as they have all closed in my area. I have got to say that the... place was very clean. Food was exceptionally good. Service was great. Wasn't to busy at all but yet the food was fresh. Drinksnever got empty. Thank you for a pleasant dinner. Will definitely stop if I am back in the area. Read more
I can see why all These places closed down. This is one of the last ones standing. It used to be so much better. The food on the... Buffet was Old and did not Even taste the slightest good. The waiter Was professional and tended to all our needs, but thatdidn?t make up for the horrible food. My Wife Said the Womens Bathroom literally had feces and blood all over the toilet andwalls. She also said it smelled terrible In there. She told the waiter and no one went to clean it. Read more

All of us who remember Ponderosa restaurant will walk in and say this isn't Ponderosa. What makes it still Ponderosa is the sign... outside and the fact that you can order a steak and get the buffet with it. No old west decorations. They do play country music???? The staff is friendly and attentive on drinks and you will be seated. The buffet was massive and the food was good. Oursteaks (ribeye and sirloin) were very nice. If you don't want to buy a steak you can still order the buffet and then it's likeyou've gone to a nicer, cleaner, smaller Golden Corral. One of the reviews said you could get a better steak at Texas Roadhouseand I doubt it. Ponderosa won me over on food taste, value, food variety, staff, and you can hold a conversation while enjoyingyour dinner companion. Texas Roadhouse doesn't have all that. And BTW, Texas Roadhouse is not even Texan. Look it up. Read more
Food is so good and all the staff is nice and friendly. I dive an hour just to come eat here.
Ended up getting sirloin tips they're more mushrooms and onions then steak. There's somewhat rubbery as well. Or less steamed as... opposed to grilled. Also got a burger that was sort of dry. I remembered why we don't go there very often not that it's almostan hour away but we had to go there for something in the area and passed by. Read more
My server Hanna was absolutely awesome, she checked in me often but not bothersome. She was very polite and friendly. Everything... I had from the buffet was warm and fresh however the last couple of times I've ordered the sirloin tips they have been ratherchewy and tough to swallow. Read more
