Amazing food, but the habachi needs some flavor! Great prices. Can't believe it took me this long to try.
Finally, good Japanese food that we don't have to drive 40 minutes, one way, to get to. Yamato is a welcome change from the last... restaurant that occupied this space in Moraine Pointe Plaza. The place has been nicely renovated and is very clean. We orderedPan Fried Gyoza for an appetizer and Teriyaki Salmon Bento boxes for lunch, one with fried rice, one with steamed rice. We werefirst pleasantly surprised by the crispy, tasty Gyoza (dumplings). Then came the flavorful grilled vegetables and salmon. Everyitem was fresh, hot as expected, and, likewise, cold as expected (California Rolls). I, personally, have to note that theirwater is good. I have to ask for lemon in my water at many restaurants to disguise the funny taste. But, Yamato's water needs nomodifications ????. We are excited to have Yamato in the neighborhood and hope the other locals will enjoy and support them, too????. Read more

For a great meal at a reasonable price- Yamato Hibachi Sushi! I had the chicken and steak combo and it was absolutely delicious.... The meat was done to perfection, the spices were tasty, and it was not overly salty. You could taste each of the wonderfulflavors not just salt. My order was completed in minutes and one of the staff even brought it to my place of business. I amhighly impressed with this new business and their attention to customer satisfaction. Read more
A woman who was not my waiter came over, tried insulting my daughters hair then for some bizarre reason she laid her head on my... shoulder about 6 inches from my plate of dinner. When I said something about it, I was told it was her personality and offered30% discount. Not enough. I couldn't even eat my dinner after that. Read more

I've come here multiple times, by myself and with others, and I've never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and prompt... woth service. The food is always tasty and has never left me wishing I hadn't gone. Overall this is a fantastic and affordablesushi restaurant and I will keep coming back! Read more
