Not sure if this was my imagination or not, but visited this location for breakfast this morning and noticed the seating in... particular. Basically, all blacks were being seated in one area and whites were seated in another. Specifically, the whites wereseated in area furthest from the door and blacks were seated in the main open area. Black side had the black waitress and thewhite side had the white or Hispanic waitress. Seemed odd. I assume the restaurant itself has some purpose for this, but can'timagine what that would be. The look is so welcoming, our waitress was amazing I wish I remembered her name. I was making my own ice coffee she seen me and... made me one and she was always just one step sway from us. Everything we ordered tasted sub-par or like it was just cooked in a microwave. Nothing tasted good AT ALL and there were 5... people in my party. My child found a macaroni noodle in our pancake, as well. The waitress was nice when she came to the table.But she only came by twice. We come here a lot because the food is consistent and the service is good. I usually get the Moons Over My Hammy but felt like... an omelette this time. Their grits are always super creamy and they bring a hefty scoop of butter in a cup for it. When it'sserved with a spoon you know it's going to be good. Restaurant was very clean but service was excruciating slow. We waited a while to get seated and about 20 minutes to get our... drink order in, another 10 to get our drinks. About 25 minutes after we ordered our food another server came out and said theydidn?t have the country fried steak steak we ordered which delayed our food even more. Our food tasted fine it just took a verylong time. We understand COVID has impacted the food service industry but the environment was lackadaisical in general. Read more
We ate on a Saturday evening, around dinner 7pm. Greeted in the door quickly and sat. It took 15 minutes for someone to ever... come to our table and get drinks. No one was ever told we were in their section is what I gathered. Our server was nice,pleasant. The food we ordered was pretty in presentation. Hashbrowns seemed to be simmered in a mix of oil and butter, nocrispy pieces to be found. The French Toast was presented well but underneath the powdered sugar was soggy bread where the egghadn't been cooked through. The standard pancakes didn't come with a scoop of butter atop them. The chocolate chip bananapancakes were a hit. Read more
