I was so excited to get orange tofu, unfortunately it was very overcooked. The tofu was hard, tough, and chewy. My husband's... vegetable fried rice was very bland. My hot and sour soup had an odd chemical detergent like flavor so I was unable to eat it.My husband's egg drop soup was good, and the crab Rangoon were good. Unfortunately it tasted like my vegetable egg rolls hadpork in them. We are so disappointed. We received a flyer in the mail and thought we would give them a try. Sadly it was amistake. We paid over $40 for our food, and can barely eat it. Read more

I was not impressed with this Chinese restaurant. The food was ok, but nothing crazy good. I recently moved to Byron Center from... Grand Rapids and thought I?d try this place since it is right down the road. First, the person on the phone was dismissive anda little rude. I was put off by it, but gave them the benefit of the doubt because sometimes, when things get busy, I understandthe frustration and lack of focus on tone-of-voice. I ordered chicken pad thai with mild spice, and a pint of hot and soursoup. I arrived to pick up my order, which was very quick and efficient. A little boy performed the transaction without anyproblems. When I got home to eat, the ?pad thai? that I ordered was more of a drunken noodle with chicken and random vegetables, definitely not pad thai and did not taste like it at all. Granted, this is a Chinese restaurant and not a Thai restaurant, so Iexpected as much. Just thought I?d try it. The food was good, I especially liked the hot and sour soup. It had more of avinegary taste than other restaurants, which I love. But, for over almost $20 I would expect a little better. I will be tryingother actual Chinese dishes here in the future, but this first experience was a little dull. It?s good if you?re hungry! Read more

We love this place!! Our go to for Chinese everytime! We have been ordering from here for years, pre Covid, during and after.... Always GREAT food, and you get so much for the price, always a couple of meals! Alot of reviews on here about kids answering thephone, bad service etc. We have never had a problem with our order being wrong, not getting something in our order or stalefood. Which is amazing! We are down to only a couple of places we will order from, and China Kitchen is it for Chinese food.Note we always order directly from the restaurant, never thru a delivery service. Highly recommend to anyone wanting the bestChinese food in the area! Read more

Do not recommend... at all. Ordered online, food was not even warm when delivered. No flavor to the food, everything seemed... like it was out of a freezer meal put thru the microwave. I ordered multiple entries, none of which were marked and I could nottell them apart because they all tasted the same. We also ordered "extras" with some and did not receive it. Very disappointedin the food quality, prep and taste. Read more

Do NOT go here!!!! I wish I could leave a review of "0 stars" because that is what this business deserves!! I ordered food for... my partner and I the other day, and we live a little bit farther away than most places will deliver to. That said, I called, gave them my address, and asked if they would deliver that distance. I insisted that they plug my address into their GPS orwhatever they use, to determine the feasibility of my request. So they did that, and the person who answered the phone assuredme that they would deliver as long as I spent at least $30.00. I thought that was a reasonable request, given the distancebetween their restaurant and my home, and so I went ahead and placed an order and was told the food would arrive in an hour. After an hour and a half passed, I received a phone call from the restaurant, whereby I was asked in 15 + different ways how toget to my house. Every time I tried to explain, the person cut me off and asked again. Eventually, they hung up on me, and wheni called back, they didn't answer. Another half hour went by. They called me again, and all I could hear on the other end of theline was continuous yelling among people, at each other, for a good 3 minutes. I asked when they would be at our house, and theperson on the phone told me to, "Hang on." Again, I was on hold listening to people scream at one another for another fewminutes. I hung up and was very upset by all of this. Not only were we not receiving our food, but this terrible lack ofprofessionalism, when on the phone with a customer who just paid over $50.00 worth of food, was appalling. Eventually, wereceived another phone call, and at this point we have been waiting for over 2 hours for our food. The person said they cannotdeliver to us. Following that, was another 3-4 minutes of continuous screaming over the phone. I asked for a refund, and theperson could not stop yelling long enough to get my card number the first time. I had to repeat my card number to her Read more

I ordered the food online. It was pretty simple and easy to navigate. The one surprising thing about this method was that... after you put in the order (and the tip), you?ll discover that they charge a $1.50 ?Convenience fee?. As of this writing, theyare taking Covid seriously. They are only doing take-out, or delivery, even though they could do indoor dining. In fact, whenpicking up the take-out order, you will not even enter the establishment. There is a big Plexiglas barrier in the doorway thatseparates you from the workers inside. You communicate with an intercom system, and get your order from a drop box. This is afamily run business, which means everyone in the family works here. Such an arrangement is not that unusual among Chineserestaurants. It was a little unsettling though to have a boy taking orders and dispensing food. The food was good, but it wassurprising how much food they stuffed in those plastic bowls. I could not finish my meal in one sitting because they stuffed itwith so much food. The egg rolls are HUGE! In all, a good place to try when you are looking for some local Chinese food. ?
