First time here. Atmosphere is great for date night or family get together. Staff is all very nice and attentive. Food was... delicious! And very well prepared. Decent portion sizes as well, which helps with the price point. Between ribeye, salmon andprime rib our table had no complaints on preparedness. The only reason for the 4/5 is because we did miss a side to one of thedishes and we were never given the complimentary corn bread that the menu states. With this said we do plan on making a returntrip. Read more
Never having visiting Harper House before , my husband and I decided to celebrate our 26th anniversary by having dinner there.... It was truly a wonderful experience from the time we arrived. We both had the rib eye with baked potato and it was cooked toperfection. The corn bread was delicious best we have ever eaten. The server was attentive and helpful. Will definitely becoming back. We really enjoyed our trip to Harper House. It’s about a 30-40 minute drive for us. It’s not conveniently located, but we... enjoyed it enough that it’s worth planning an evening to go. We made reservations, and highly recommend doing so to avoiddriving out and it being super busy! We were on the bar side for the live music and don’t regret it! The stage is set insideand “above” the bar so there’s no bad seat in the house. Food was hot, and obviously very good quality. I had a whiteSangria, which was very good. I definitely look forward to a return trip! Understandably, steaks are set at Market Price, butI look forward to trying the ribeye next time. Read more
So if you want to go out for fine dining and good drinks... This is NOT the place to go!!! I only gave it two stars because the... waitress was amazing and the corn bread and strawberry butter was very good otherwise it would have gotten no stars!!! I ordereda Brandy Alexander and it took over 20 minutes to get it! Now mind you we were seated at one of the booths that rings the bar sowe could see the bartender... The lady that took our order was also behind the bar but it seemed only the young man could makethe drinks!!! And he would make drink after drink for the waiters coming up... But not mine.... The lady went over twice andasked for it and he blew her off!!! I ordered the meat loaf and it was ok but they forgot the gravy and the potatoes wereincredibly dry so I had to ask the lady to bring some. My husband's green beans were good but he didn't get into the smokedmeat.... Overall a disappointing experience and one that will not be repeated because why do that again when Nashville.... Andrestaurants that are actually good.... Is only thirty miles the other way!!! Can't believe we drove 41 miles for that!!! Read more
The ambience was amazing and restaurant was gorgeous! Pur weaiter was patient, kind and very attentive! Best one we've had in a... while. Everything we ordered came promptly. Dinner was amazing! We just had a meal that was very hit or miss. Our server, Amber P was amazing. She was so kind, attentive and had a great... knowledge of the menu. We enjoyed the complimentary cornbread and our order of fried pickles. I ordered the Campfire Chickenwith a side Caesar salad and Mac n cheese. The sides were very good, probably one of my favorite Mac and cheeses, but thechicken was dry, and covered in a weird sweet, almost flavorless sauce that clashed with the smoked Gouda and bacon covering thedish. My mother in law ordered the prime rib special with smashers and green beans. Her whole meal was disappointing. The primerib was cold and lacked flavor, the green beans were undercooked and the smashed potatoes were soggy with a weird sweet vinegartaste. The other people at our table ordered a burger and prime rib sandwich, which they were pleased with. The quality of foodcould have been forgivable if it weren't for the price. The prime rib was $49 and the chicken was $24. Overall our experiencewas disappointing. The atmosphere and service made it seem like we were going to get a great meal, but we were left with twooverpriced poorly executed dishes. Read more
