I cannot recommend this restaurant. First the service was good and the place is clean and welcoming. However that is all the... good I can say about this place. I ordered swordfish and got a sliver of fish. Brussel sprouts cost an extra $2. So over $34for the plate below. Had oysters and they were over priced for basic oysters. I was on this side of town visiting friends andhave no idea why people would come here, LA has amazing seafood. Hell, chain restaurants are better than this. 2 stars onlybecause the service was good. Very fine meal and great atmosphere. Enjoyed the Salmon, Crab cakes and Fish n Chips. Dessert was Key lime pie and fresh brewed... coffee. The staff was friendly. Read more
We got one of the high top tables behind the bar. We consider ourselves very lucky because this place was very busy and booked... out Hours in advance for Father’s Day 2022. They obviously of us. The tired had a good time eating her clean rice and coloringin the special kits booklet. The booklet was provided this a set of crayons. The parents extend the gratitude to the housemanagement. The location is pretty cool, old school fisherman’s warf feel. Looks like a good local bar with food vibe. Started off with a... descent coffee and ice water. I ordered the octupus & clam chowder. The octupus was great, tender(slightly chewy but stillenjoyable) but I only 3 pieces about 3 inches each surrounded by a bed of vegetables. For the price I’d expect more piecesbecause it’s more of entree rather than a appetizer. The clam chowder was excellent and would get that again. I have mixed feelings about this place. First the waiter brought my friend a “margarita” we asked for strawberry but when he... brought it it was disgusting ???? it tasted bad so bad! That she didn’t touch it… but when the food came everything wasdelicious and both waiters were coming to check on us constantly so, that was a plus. To the bartender of Wednesdays afternoonsplease don’t serve a drink and call it margarita if you don’t know the drinks please don’t ruin it for us. Is better thanway. This place gets packed quickly. When we arrived I heard the couple in front of us saying "yeah we'll sit there but don't forget... us"...didn't know whay that meant until we sat for 45 minutes waiting for our bill ???? The food was bad. Maybe we chose thewrong items but being a fish place you would think that the fish would be fresh? Calamari was slimy and oily. Swordfish tacos,very fishy and did not taste fresh. Fish n chips, over battered and blah. Certainly not worth the money spent. Two stars forrestaurant location and decor. Read more
Always a favorite place to eat. Make sure to put a reservation in as they are almost always booked. Had the sea scallops, loaded... baked potato and asparagus, was phenomenal. Staff was friendly and quick despite being very busy. Enjoyed our meal. Read more
