Small restaurant on the grounds of Brunswick Plantation. We came after a round of golf on a Friday late afternoon. Reubens and... onion rings were delicious!! Like being able to get dinner without leaving the community. Our family are new condo owners so wewill visit a few times a year, and will definitely stop in for dinner again. Service was a little slow at coming back to checkon table, bring check etc...otherwise restaurant wasn't too busy, food was hot and fresh. We had a good time! Read more
Our husband and I just moved here from NJ and spent an exhausting day trying to get our new house in order. We went over to... Hickory Shaft for a quick dinner. My husband ordered a grilled Reuben with onion rings and I got the house special personalpizza. Everything was delicious!! Also had a glass of Pinot Grigio which was also very good. Man o man. I was disappointed with everything......sorry. We ate dinner on Prime rib night and several of us got the prime... rib.....mistake. I must say it was the toughest least flavorable I have ever had anywhere( and pretty costly too) Several guystried other items such as: a basic cheese pizza and he didn't even eat it after 2 bites. Others talked about not enjoying theirdinners. The service was ok except it was very slow and very little follow up. My suggestion: Eat somewhere else Read more
Food was great, but I had to ask three times for our appetizer. She finally brought it out after we were done eating and still... charged us for it. Didn't mind paying for it (since we did eat it) just surprised me since she told us that she forgot to putit the order the first two times. Otherwise it would have been five stars. Read more
Good food, great service, and convenient for our golf group staying in the Brunswick Plantation golf condos. Open... Thursday-Sunday and a good menu. Our golf group of 16 reserved the private room which was convenient as we were were a bitnoisy. Robin our server was great, she went out of her way to accommodate us and see that all our needs were filled both fromthe bar and meals, she is a great asset to the Hickory Shaft Bistro. Read more
They were slammed. Service a little slow. Food was awesome. Had the bang bang tacos. Fresh and delicious. Supposed to have... a side salad,but came with rice. Staff was friendly and helpful. My wife and I have been here a couple of times and early on the service wasn't the best. But... it seems they have addressed this. The food was good the first two times but better this last visit. There have been somechanges in the menu that are much better. we ordered the wings... Best in the area! We also had the seafood pasta and it wasvery good and very reasonably priced. Pork nacho special was delicious. We will be back. Read more
