Very surprised how good the food is out of this "shack". Fresh, delicious and filling. You know its a good spot when locals... come in and eat. We ended up chatting with some people who live just down the street and come here for lunch 3-4 times a week. Its decent price for fresh and delicious seafood. The crab cake basket was very good and the napper and shrimp was fantastic,the hushpuppies were delicious. I think our server was Skylar and she was very friendly and made a great recommendation.. Iwouldn't hesitate to come back to try other things here.. I also like the seating and decor.. for a tiny little place with acook shack.. its was a great experience and delicious food. Read more
I'd give this place 15 stars if it were possible... It's one of those small, hometown kind of places that most people would... overlook and not give a chance. Only "complaint" (if you'd call it that) is needing more waterfront seating... Dined hereevery year we come to the coast - service is wonderful and the food is absolutely delicious!! Read more
If you grew up eating food with spice, this is not the place for you. If you like to eat fresh seafood without any spice to it,... you will like it. Unfortunately, it didn't go well with us because our family likes food with a bit spice to it. It was toobland for us. It was fresh though. Food portion was not big but we didn't expect big portion anyway. Hope this review helpssome one either not to make or to make a trip here at Waterfront seafood shack. Have a nice time. First, we love eating outside when there's a beautiful view. Second, the food's fantastic! We tried the "Captain" and regretted... it. Higher prices and less food doesn't press me!! The food is priced right here. The atmosphere is relaxing, the guys and galshere are always so friendly and the service is fast. I asked for this and that probably three times and was served with genuinekindness and smiles. Such a nice young man. He even took a moment to chat with hubby. Btw, I had the fried flounder and shrimpcombo with fries (hubby ate) Cole slaw and hush puppies. For a dollar more I ordered the fried corn. Let's just say you've GOTTO GET THE FRIED CORN! ???? I got it for hubby but I did manage to get a few bites ???? The flounder was perfect. Nice sizedfilet, thick and perfectly cooked - still juicy inside. (Our guy said it's the entire side of the fish and it is.) Mmmm! Theshrimp was great, too. Lightly battered. Hubby for the Mahi sandwich which came with nothing unless.you added that's why he gotmy fries.amd corn. My food was MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME ???? We both left full and HAPPY! ???? I was turned on to this place by another Veteran who moved to the area. You can go out for a fishing trip, go by for a bite to... eat or take home fresh seafood and prepare it the best way you know how. In a week's time I ended up there twice and it was a30-45 minute drive each way for me. Completely worth the trip! The Shrimp was Devine... Fresh, Sweet and Right off theBoat. Extremely reasonable in pricing. The first time, I ended up cleaning the shrimp by myself. Let's just say I developed aquick and healthy respect for anyone who has to clean shrimp... Second time, paid the extra $2.00 a pound and enjoyed theexperience so much more! This trip, I didn't go out on the boat or eat their prepared food. I will be going back and will doboth at some point. The guys were great to talk to. Friendly, Helpful and really enjoyed our talks. The entire experience of eating here was fantastic. The staff were warm & friendly, the seating areas were clean and shaded, and... the food was soooo fresh & delicious. The local people recommended this place highly, and I see why. I got the fried flounderdinner with the fried corn, cole slaw, and hush puppies. The fish was hot, fresh, tender, well-cooked (not over-cooked), anddelicious. The cole slaw was homemade & very nice, and the fried corn was a treat. Just sitting in the sun, watching the boatscome in while eating fresh fish from those boats, listening to the gulls, just so perfect. Definitely the highlight of our tripthis year. Read more
