We went for a work party with 8 people and everyone was happy. I was delighted upon entry to this beautiful space. There is a... wooden boardwalk that feels special as soon as you start walking in. We were seated in the big cozy table for parties, whichwas rustic yet elevated both spatially and design wise. Elements of nature are all around, stone, wood, then just through thewindows: sand, water, trees. A bustling bar with creations pouring out, each one more interesting looking than the last. Allof my senses were piqued and in harmony. The service was prompt and so professional. Good eye contact, calm confidence andcomprehensive understanding and recall of the menu, including specials. Everything arrived very close together, made sense andwas prepared correctly; impressive, especially given that nothing was written down. I immediately wished I was staying at thelodge and yearn to go back and enjoy watching the sunset on the beach after dinner. This place is checking all of the boxes. Good freaking job. We had a chance to go on a little date during the indoor dining restrictions to their outdoor Polar Bar experience and it was... worth the drive! The staff were amazing from beginning to the end; the food was incredible and the atmosphere was out of astory book! Read more
1st day of the latest Covid restrictions, we had planned to go to On the Rocks to celebrate my wife?s birthday?. Thankful for... their quick pivot to take out. This may be the first time we have had 5 star to go!! Calamari, wings, seafood pizza and Cesarsalad, ALL WAS EXCEPTIONAL , even the packaging. Went to On The Rocks Thursday night for our first time. Started with special drinks. Wow. Beautiful and yummy. Turns out it was... sushi ???? night on Thursdays. We love sushi and have been craving it since we moved here. The plate was big, looked awesome andwas very tasty. The night was such a great experience. Go try it out. It is worth the money. We will definitely go back to trythe rest of the menu. Read more
Atmosphere/vibe/ambiance gets a 5 star as do the tasty food dishes. Everything we tasted, five star fantastic. We were able to... bring our own favourite wine, with a corkage-fee of course. A group of four ladies celebrating my birthday, we were seated inthe bar area in the fantastic booth meant for special groups. We were impressed with their extensive collection of gins and ableto taste a few to make our own preferred G&T. We arrived at 6ish and had no wait, we were not rushed and were the second lasttable to leave for the night. The experience was phenomenal and like nothing else in the Renfrew County area! Such an amazing first experience at On the Rocks! We loved the atmosphere ; it felt like a restaurant you would find downtown... Ottawa or Montreal, yet it was local and close to home. The service was phenomenal, highly recommend the Parmesan Truffle fries,Paloma & Lobster Mac n Cheese. Everything was delicious and clearly made with high-quality ingredients and great care. Amazing food, cocktails, service and views! We?ve been ordering delicious take out since it opened a few months ago. Since... they?re now offering dine-in service with a new menu we were excited to try it out. I can?t say enough about the meal fromstart to finish: the food, cocktails, all amazing and so nicely presented. The atmosphere is awesome and seems to morph as thesun goes down - such a cozy yet upscale vibe. We will be back often! Group of 10 with a reservation. Seated on time, our server was excellent and very helpful. Many different drinks offered with... different cocktail specials offered each day. Minimal entree selection but very good food with a very nice presentation. We wereso impressed we went back another night while we were visiting the area. Read more
