We ordered papá a la huancaina, tallarines verdes, ceviche mixto, papa rellena, causa, lomo saltado, camarones al ajillo but... sadly I have to say that with the exception of the arroz chaufa and the chicken causa, everything was below a 2 star. Thesauces for the huancaina and the pesto were truly not something to brag about. Either tasting like they added colorant ratherthan ají amarillo and for the pesto this was just too watery. I think I make better sauces than this place. Further, it made usall super sick to our stomachs. It was truly disappointing especially after seeing all the reviews. They mixed orders giving uspotato instead of yuca, served a cold side of potatoes, and forgot to take an appetizer out the papa rellena for my party. Iwill not be going back to this place. If you do make sure you have a thick stomach. Read more

Food was amazing. We got the calamari to start and then we each ordered the a lo pobre (steak and fish). So good and huge... portions. The restaurant is also really cute and reminded me of the small restaurants I would visit in South America. Read more

Restaurant entrance is a small door which is easy to miss. Street parking is available, and there's also plenty of spots in the... municipal lot around the corner. Upstairs, the dining room has a fresh and cheerful vibe. Service is attentive, kudos to thegirls who are both knowledgeable and helpful. I enjoyed the ceviche very much. It is tangy but tartness from the lime is notoverbearing. Other seafood entrees were great too. Everything tasted fresh and cooked at just the right doneness. Overall, dishes are a little bit under-salted which is how we prefer it. Restaurant is not crowded, can't wait to come back next time Read more

I LOVE Peruvian food. Grew up with homemade Peruvian cooking so I?m picky. I called to place an order for pick up and got put on... hold for 15 minutes, so I rightfully assumed they forgot about me and called back. It happens! I was annoyed but they were supersweet and quickly took my order. I was pleasantly surprised by their unique space when I went to pick up. Looks like they gotcreative and made a restaurant out of an old upper level apartment unit, so the interior has a very homey, colorful and artisticvibe. It?s small but I think that adds to the charm. They gave me a complimentary tres leches for the hold thing which was verykind, and it was delicious. Beef in the Lomo wasn?t as tender as I?m used to but the flavor was great and it had lots of juice(nothing more disappointing than dry Lomo). Chaufa was on point. Salsa criolla was on point. Aji was on point. Overall, solidPeruvian spot that cares about their customers. Support a local small business and check them out :) Read more

I came to this restaurant many years ago, but they recently reopened in a new location with new ownership. I have to say, this... is the best date spot and hidden gem you will find in all of New Jersey. THE VIBE: Colorful with beautiful art pieceseverywhere. Every table is surrounded by different pieces of art and every room is different. The decor is thoughtful and verycute. The music is also amazing and will make your experience better. THE FOOD: The empanadas are bomb. Giant and filled withflavor, you're definitely going to be licking the plate. The selection of entrees is vast and everything tastes great, we had alittle bit of everything and none of them disappointed! You definitely get a bang for your buck too, the portions are VERYgenerous. On to dessert, the churros are fresh, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, the perfect churros! The otherdesserts are amazing too but the churros really stood out. Support local businesses owned by young Latinas. You can tell loveand care was put into every dish and every piece of decor, you will feel right a home when you eat here. Also, It's BYOB! Stay awhile! I can't wait to go back and try more things.
