My husband and I went to the Consulate for my birthday lunch today, and I must say I LOVED everything about this stunning venue.... We were seated on the patio overlooking the lake, and the views were spectacular. The waiter, Wally, was an absolute gentlemanand very attentive, and the food served was amazingly delectable! The place is beautiful. The food portion is really small. Don?t go there if you?re hungry. My meal was decent. The service was... horrible, waited forever for drinks, meal etc. Yes they has two events going on so staff is limited, but it?s not acceptable. Iwould not go again. However beautiful property. We went to the Consulate for my birthday lunch yesterday. Walter was our server and he was absolutely amazing. We ordered the... sangria and dip trio, both of which was delicious. Walter went above and beyond to make our experience excellent, we tried anItalian sangria which was wonderful. Walter even also made us a very tasty raspberry dessert. We opted to eat outside and theview of the lake was outstanding. Overall we had a wonderful experience, certainly would recommend. Read more

Came here with a large group for a special birthday occasion? unfortunately we waited an hour before we saw the waiter. On top... of that, we didn?t get asked for our orders until 1.5 hrs after sitting down- and did not receive our food until 1 hr afterthat!! The bread and butter they gave us was cold and stale, and the main courses were taste-less. Would not recommend thisrestaurant to anyone. Read more

This serene patio is spectacular. Catch a table overlooking the beautiful grounds on the shores of Innis Lake. The area is... teeming with wildlife and charming foliage. We came for a light lunch as soon as they opened at noon; the service and food wasspectacular. We had pleasant conversation with some regular diners sitting at the table across from us. The food and service were amazing as usual. My husband and I were married at The Royal Ambassador 3 years ago and they were a... dream to work with even back then (shootout to Daisy!). We try to go back there every year for our anniversary dinner and thisyear was no different. We ordered a few apps - the rosemary garlic bread with butter (sorry no pics of that), the truffle oilfrench fries with parmesan and parsley, and the 3 mean spidduci. I ordered the linguini pescatore (pictured) and my husband gotthe penne pasta (no pics). We ordered the tiramisu for dessert. It suffices to say that everything was absolutely delicious,the meal was perfectly timed and the service was impeccable. Plus, you can't beat that view. I can't wait to come back again! Read more
