I really try to keep my business within Haldimand and have been a DQ customer for as long as I can remember- when they were at... their original location where Caledonia smiles is, my husband has Celiac, and we would buy the ice cream cakes made without thecookie middle, I try to give as much notice as they?ve asked (more than 24 hours) so when I called on Friday asking if it couldbe done the lady who answered was incredibly rude, it made a usually stress free thing a bit stressful, hearing them talk in thebackground with who I can only guess was a manager, and be a bit condescending and unkind was a bit hard to hear? first issuewas it was too late notice ( 24 hours) then when I said okay I can pick it up Sunday it?s no issue, she said their ice creammachine was only available on weekends. like I?m just trying to support your business, if you don?t want it I?ll take itelsewhere. Which I happily did! if your looking for a great friendly ice cream cake place I suggest you take the trip toAncaster in meadowlands where they did a fanstastic job the cakes are beautiful!, and even asked if I would like any of theirgluten free options! This location is better than any other location I have been to. Burgers have a nice taste. Most DQ's are notorious for being... super slow, not this one. Orders are always right. Very decent for fast food. Read more
Was good except the need to turn the temp up on the ice cream maker. Our blizzards were like soup by the time we got home. Staff... were working there tails off getting orders out inside. Was impressed with the wait time and they way the staff was working sohard. Read more
Similiar to what Linda and John say below. Came at 829pm. Doors already locked and employees mopping and ignoring the door.... About 2 groups of people walked up and left while I was standing there. That's 3 transactions that were lost. Everyone inCaledonia is driving distance but walking is preferable when it's nice out. I understand working retail and starting the closingprocess early but if the hours say open till 9 at least let people in to order while you mop. Maybe change the later hours todrive thru only. Very disappointed in the customer service. I was purchasing a log cake and the price written was $21.99. The server said it was... $22.99 but she would check with her manager. The woman came out and said the cake was $22.99 which I pointed out this was notwritten on the product so she took the cake and wrote over the price .. WTH .. saying they have new staff and it was an error .Then she starts pulling the cake towards her saying well if you don?t want it .. seriously that was rude and what about priceintegrity??? I tried to go inside to order. They have the doors locked. You can only order if you are willing to sit in the very long drive... thru lane. The line was so long that it went out onto the street. This wastes gas and is harmful to our planet. Dairy Queen willnot get my business if they are not willing to serve me at the counter. Also for anyone that doesn?t have a car this isdiscrimination.
