Very good happy hour and an amazing selection of tequila and margs!! Found my tacos to be kind of flavourless and the tortillas... were a bit hard, but I?m going to chalk it up to them being really busy. Great food. A place to go for some patio catch up. Love their happy hour deals. $3/taco and half price for their margaritas!!! ... Olala! Such a gem. We had doubles for our margaritas. Some pulled pork & beef barbacoa tacos it was heaven they give you 4levels of hot sauce. Tresleches for dessert was not too sweet and the texture of the dried lemon rinds is interestinglygood. Went on a weekend evening and the place was quite busy. The place takes reservations, but the host was able to find a table for... us. In the warmer months there is indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated inside and the place is quite loud, likely due to acombination of poor acoustics, loud music, and a large volume of people in one space. Would not necessarily recommend as a placeto have long conversations. Ordered the guacamole, mushroom flautas, and three tacos (beef barbacoa, chicken tinga, and braisedmushrooms on a flour tortilla). The guacamole took some time to be brought to the table and the avocados are mashed in front ofyou. The guacamole is refreshing and the chips that come with it are fresh and crunchy. The mushroom flautas were filled withcheese and mushrooms, which made for a very filling and savoury appetizer. Each of the tacos were well-presented. The chickentinga was quite tangy in comparison to the other two. The server who helped us was very attentive despite the busy evening aswell. She did warn us that the flautas would be spicy (but they were not). The price was quite reasonable for the amount of foodordered. Would recommend for a visit to have some good food, but would either relocate for conversation or ask for a tableoutside to cut down on the background noise. Read more
Was our first time here and won't be the last! I had the ginger margarita that was refreshing and delicious. Then we had table... side guacamole and the salsa tasting. These apps were so good I could have eaten them all with just a spoon! Our waitressrecommended I try the Birria tacos which were crispy and flavorful. We also tried the tequila flight. I love this place! Ive been multiple times and it never disappoints. They have some of the best table side guacamole in... Calgary! It's so full of flavour and the chips are perfectly salted. This time instead of just ordering the regular tacos, weordered the Birria Al Res and wow they were amazing!!! The consomme to dip them in was delicious, and the pickled onions,cilantro, onions, and the hot mayo on top made these to die for!!! Our server was the best as well!!! She knew we had a concertto get to, so she made sure to put our food order in right away and gave us fast service all night. We can't wait to come backagain soon! Read more
Came to this location after enjoying the Banff location and was not disappointed. We had mojitos, strawberry rhubarb margarita,... shrimp and al pastor tacos, and it was all amazing. The service was excellent even though it was jam packed. Next stop? flyinghome to try the Toronto King st location! Read more
