This is a great spot in the heart of Calgary to grab a glass of wine or whisky (especially Japanese whisky) and a snack. The... space itself is quite small so it can fill up quickly, more so now with pandemic-related table spacing in place. I love cocktails and finding new places to experience the great hospitality that is YYC. Tonight was my first experience with... Annabelle. I was quickly taken in with the cozy feel and wonderful atmosphere. Soon after I was disappointed with my cocktailsserved in water glasses and generic glassware all round for any cocktail you ordered. I feel for 13.50 my Manhattan should comein more than a water glass with ice cubes. The popcorn is a nice touch and is delicious but doesn?t make up for the lack ofattention to the cocktails and one size fits all etched glassware for wines. I hope to give them another chance and that thequality will grow over time and they can match the wonderful space they call home. Read more
