I used the Rundlehorn Dr location for the first time and ordered fish and chips (Cod). Right off the bat I was greeted warmly as... I walked in the door and even though the restaurant was busy I was never ignored. My order was freshly cooked while I waited andwas still piping hot when I arrived home. Excellent fish and chips. Even my British daughter enjoyed every bite. The pieces of fish (cod) were huge!! Just enough fries.... My son had the chicken strips and they were really nice.The couple who run it were very nice and polite. It's not a huge place,just a few tables. They have takeout and delivery. I know we'll be back. First time eating at a Chester's, went for the fried chicken to compare to others. Chicken was very good and juicy. Got the... family combo with fries and gravy. Fries and gravy paired very well and gravy was good. Would put this chicken way above KFC(which most other places are) and better then Mary browns in my opinion as well. Had Chester?s fish and chips today for the first time and they were awesome! Reminded me of how Joey?s Only used to be in the... good old days. Fish is done in the authentic British style, fish was at least 10? long each and a couple of inches wide,perfectly cooked and now that I have found it; it?s now my only place to go for fish and chips. Came back for the third time recently as my elderly mother wanted to try their fish. Still impressed by their approach of... cooking everything as you wait, and no one seems to mind. Steady stream of clients most of whom had ordered online and werepicking up. Cod was chunky yet flaky, the batter was crisp and the fries plentiful I was informed. The pouting which I have toagree with another reviewer was not overly salty and one could taste the different components - Well worth a change from thefish. Slightly disappointed by the spicy fish though as I was expecting a spicy style batter and it was almost breaded in spicesbefore being fried. Not to say it wasn?t good, just not what I was expecting. What I found at the Chester's Rundle Location was anowner that really cares about the quality of food they sell ????. They freshly cook all their orders ???????? (which results ina bit of a wait, but also amazingly fresh and delicious food!), and are quite busy, so make sure to orderahead! ???????????????? ???????? ????????????????????: ???? ????? ??????? ?????? ?. ??????: The chicken was literally rightout of the fryer! It was so fresh, hot and crispy, we seriously devoured it in minutes. I was also very surprised with thewedges. They coat them in batter and they're just as crispy as the chicken but delightly soft on the inside! ???? ???????: Hot,cheesy, full of gravy, like what more could you want?!?! I loved that their poutine wasn't overly salty, and how much cheesethey put! ???? ???? & ?????: We tried the fish and chips, and like the chicken it was fresh out of the fryer. It was hot andcrispy! Google reviews brought me to Chester?s and it did not disappoint. The owner was extremely nice. The chickens I had were crispy... and juicy. The fries were crispy and I love the gravy. And best of all, the chicken meal I had was very inexpensive. You can?tfind better deal anywhere else! Read more
