Staff were friendly. My first time having take away from here. Food was good and plentiful, but very very spicy. They didn't... allow a request to make it less spicy (for children). I wouldn't discourage anyone from going but I do not think I'll go back. Read more

I?ve gone here a few times, and I really like their food. Today we ordered mutton curry and butter chicken. The butter chicken... was only 4 pieces of chicken, about the size of chicken nuggets. Last time, we split the dish between 4 adults and my 3 year oldson. This time, my son and wife each had one morsel, and I had two. It really seemed like about 1/3-1/2 the size of last time. The rest of the shallow dish was very runny sauce. Very disappointed. When the mutton curry showed up, but was chicken insteadof mutton.. so we sent it back and got to wait another 15 minutes. Both dishes didn?t come with rice, so I ordered muttonbiryani, because plain rice was FOUR DOLLARS!! So I decided to make it an actual dish for $10? all the food tasted good, but theorder screw-up, the shockingly small portion sizes, and the $4 plain rice was all a big turn-off. Won?t be returningagain. Btw, as we waited to pay, we saw another table get their food served. They also ordered the mutton curry, but their dishwas HEAPING with mutton. It was enough for three VERY generous plates of food. Maybe you?ll get treated better here if you?rethe right race/religion. This area is very predominantly brown/Muslim. I?m white. I took another look around at other tables andseemed to notice everyone?s portion sizes to be significantly larger than mine. Maybe they ordered 1.5 servings or a doubleserving? But it was in one dish, not two. It seemed too significant of a portion size difference to be an accident. PS: myfriend enthusiastically introduced us to this restaurant because he went a couple years ago and the portion sizes were big anddishes were inexpensive. He was shocked at the total, when we ate there together for my first time. It was roughly double whathe was guessing, based on previous visits. Read more

Had a great experience, food was very tasty and fresh. Service staff is new and very courteous. Kudos to the staff! It was a... very hot day and the AC was not working properly. Management should complain and have it fixed! Read more

The mixed barbecue platter was outstanding! You get chicken tikka, fish tikka, and seekh kabob. Honestly they were all excellent... - beautifully marinated and perfectly cooked and juicy. I slept in a nihari was really good much better than I've had manyother places. I would have liked this the meat was a little bit more tender but still it was really well cooked. Light andfluffy naans - no need to say more. Read more

This establishment is underrated immensely. It is damn good. MashAllah!! I have personally tried the Afghani Tikka which melted... in our mouths. Furthermore, the chicken biryani was really well made also, the only thing I would change is add more salt to it.However, my wife told me the raita/spicy yoghurt they give with it, when eaten together it solves the salt point. So there'sthat. I also tried their lunch special wherein I tried the Beef Shish Kebab, which was phenomenal, instead of rice, I gotanother naan, and then proceeded to make a naan kabab roll out of it with the salad and the raita/yoghurt as a sauce. SO GOODMASHALLAH. One lunch special is good for two people to say the least, very fulfilling and top notch taste. They serve handslaughtered halal meat/chicken here, which I confirmed on the phone and in person with the person behind the counter. The kababsare made on a sizzling plate fresh, which adds to the aroma and they come in piping hot. They are sat on a bed of caramelizedonions. so so so worth it. Next time, I visit Calgary this is my go to place for at the least lunch. Please do come here and tryit out, you will thank me. =] Read more

Not worth the hype. Yes the BBQ platter was good but the Palak paneer was completely bland. And they should work on the ambiance... too! Read more

My work colleague introduced me to this restaurant today for lunch. I don?t usually drift this far away from my normal culinary... favourites. But the staff at Faisal?s was phenomenal and the food was sooooo delicious. We had curry chicken and rice. The saucewas full of flavour and just the right amount of curry spice. It was so amazing that we had to use the bread to finish everyounce of sauce! One of the best lunches I?ve had recently. If you?re in the neighbourhood, I definitely recommend this small, quaint spot. You won?t be disappointed! Read more

This is hole in the wall type restaurant. Excellent food - the BBQ platter and kabab are must try. The curry and butter chicken... are really good. Not too salty or greasy. The naan bread is good but not the best. Coming from a neighborhood with lots ofIndian restaurants, totally surprised and blown away with how good the food is! The price is also very reasonable and foodservice pretty fast. It seems the restaurant was under-staff and one non-kitchen staff has to do everything. Read more
