I placed an order on Skip. I didn't get my hopes up too high because I've never ordered from here before. My order came in about... 45 minutes which is what Skip said it would take. And absolutely some of the best sushi I've ever had! I'm somebody who alwaysuses soy sauce, Ginger and wasabi to boost the flavor of my sushi. I ate 24 pieces of sushi without using any condiments becausethe sushi was that good on its own! Read more

Takeout was awful. Very disappointed. I guess if you like some squid with your spicy mayo this might be for you! Total waste of... money. Sushi was warm? and it?s cold outside. Gyoza was somehow colder than the sushi and had no sear to them, figure that out!?won?t be surprised if I get food poisoning from this ? very mediocre rolls, grilled squid was rubbery and flavorless, tastedboiled and was covered in a bucket of spicy mayo. Terrible. We've eaten A LOT of sushi in our lives. All over Calgary and even Japan. THIS WAS THE WORST SUSHI WE'VE EVER... EATEN. * Overpriced * Bad flavour or no flavour * Small rolls The creamy scallop roll had a sweet lemon mayo or custard on it.Just terrible. The California roll (which we use as a baseline) was tasteless. The unagi roll had no sauce or anything.Literally no flavour at all. This is the worst sushi in the city by far. Edo has better sushi. Superstore has bettersushi. Stay away if you value good sushi and your wallet. Read more

We took the children out for some sushi training last night. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff makes you feel... welcome right away. The food was good. We had some soup, tempura and a few rolls. It was enjoyable. The price was good. Whatwas not pleasant was that the management doesn't seem to think training staff properly should be part of their job. The ladyserving tried very hard but she was clearly never trained properly. It may even have been her first day. That's on the managerto put people on the floor with no training. We don't blame the woman. But if the establishment cared enough about itscustomers, they would make double sure that the customer has a good service experience. Read more

Came here for dinner as our favourite place was closed, never again. Extremely overpriced for the very below average quality.... Everything was warm when sushi is meant to be cold. Sunomono was so warm and soggy and tasted like it was just noodles in picklejuice (sent it back after one small bite and they still tried to make us pay for it) asked for the bill and had to wait about 20minutes to actually pay. Wow.. what an evening we had at Haru Sushi. The food was amazing. The rolls were beautifully crafted and presented. The tempura... was perfectly crunchy and seasoned. The freshness of the seafood was apparent in all their dishes. The wine was paired perfectlyas was the price. BUT what made the evening great was our server Jessica. Okay where do I start, I?m not a sushi eater but the teriyaki chicken hot plate is delish. I?ve been looking for a place to take... the wife for sushi that has hot plates as well and this place seems to be the only one in south Calgary. Great tempura. Allaround great food. We will be back.
