I tried placing an order direct through their website. They called me to advise they had no drivers available to deliver the... order and my order had been cancelled. I asked if I would be charged and they advised I would not be as they had cancelled it ontheir end. I placed an order through Uber as I still needed food and their store had a fast delivery time. After dinner Ichecked my bank account and found I had been charged by their store as well as Uber. I immediately phoned the store and wasadvised they would return my money in one to two business days. This is unacceptable, especially with me having confirmed on thephone I would not be charged. Spring rolls are the best in town and their salad rolls too. I had the sate beef noodle soup with creamy broth and it was... absolutely delicious. Restaurant is cozy and clean plus service is excellent. Definitely come back again :) Read more
I thoroughly enjoyed my food. I actually haven't had Nem Cu?n 4b for a few years. They are authentic. Nonetheless, the Nem could... have been as long as the roll. The special rice noodle soup 21a is equally lovely. The portion is huge. That being said, Iwouldn't eat it again though as Hu Tieu should have pork mince, pork hearts, pork liver, fried pork lard, quail eggs, etc. Myhusband loves his dish numbered 51. We would come back and try other dishes. The waiters are polite. They mistakenly bring myhusband noodle instead of rice. They quickly fixed the problem when we let them know. Ordered vermicelli takeout and was extremely disappointed to find that half of the container was filled with... lettuce/carrots/bean sprouts. Typically the most abundant item in a vermicelli bowl is VERMICELLI not lettuce. The light weightof the container when I took it out of the bag was already an indicator that meat and noodles were likely in small quantities.Needless to say the meal was not filling and also made me very thirsty afterwards. While the taste is alright the portion sizeis TINY and there are better Vietnamese places nearby that I would not return or recommend this place to others. Read more
Really good pho when you’re craving Vietnamese food. The noodles are just right and the beef was more flavorful and thicker... cut than I’m used to seeing (nice!). To balance the strong broth out I also ordered a baguette (so fresh!) as a side. Theyalso have good tea here. Owners are a nice couple from just south of Ho Chi Minh. I could see that their takeout service ispretty popular (huge menu!) and I’m looking forward to supporting this spot! I enjoyed the modern look of the dining area andeasy parking that shares the same large lot as Tim Horton’s and Co-Op nearby. Read more
I loooooove their food! I have been trying so many Vietnamese restaurants in town but finally I found my favourite. Broth taste... so good. The noodles are the perfect firmness. Beef satay pho is absolutely addictive. I find many Vietnamese restaurants haveonly salty and spicy soup but Lac Viet has the real flavourful soup! Their deep fry spring rolls are crunchy and skinny so easyto eat! Smoothies taste real fruits and their jellies are yummy. Deep fried dumplings OMG how are they making ? Can’t stopeating. Everything taste amazing. Restaurants are sparkling clean top to bottom , the staff members are smiling all the time , price is very good and fair . Lots of parking , nice community , easy to access! Nice Viet restaurant in the area, right by some grocery stores and really convenient location. Service was great, food came... quickly after ordered, server checked in and constantly made sure our waters were topped up. The food was pretty good as well,had the satay beef noodle and I liked how the satay tasted here (it's been different at every restaurant I've had it inToronto), not overwhelming but a nice savoury flavour. The spring rolls were good as well. The only thing I didn't like was thatthe seat I was in was really worn out, but that's a small thing. Read more
I sometimes go here for lunch with my mother on the weekends. They have really friendly staff and I say their pho is the best!... The noodles melt in your mouth and the broth is so flavorful! I recommend their sate beef noodle soup! #15 Their subs aredelicious too and it's the best price in Calgary! :) Read more
