Stepped in and expensive for only 2 people and small portion sizes compared to other pho places in the northwest. Personally,... not my fave and lacked flavour. Very water downed soup that was considered a large but the bowl was at most a small - medium. The spring rolls were pinky size and not like the other pictures. Kind of a let down tbh. Read more

After trying out numerous Vietnamese restaurants in this city, Pho Van probably has the best bun bo hue in all of Calgary. The... ingredients are super fresh (especially the bean sprouts), the broth is extremely flavorful, the people here are very friendly,and the food has great portions for the price! Read more

Nice and clean. We enjoyed the all food that we ordered. For me better than Royal Oak Pho hoan.

They have only been open for a few weeks and we've been dying to try it out. Lots of parking available and didn't have to fight... for parking like their other location. We were seated right away. We had a party of 4 adults and 2 kids. The restaurant wasvery clean and the decor was nice and modern. Loved the fact they catered to my daughters egg allergy. She wanted chickenwings and there is egg in the bater that they use but they were able to make it with out egg. The food came out quickly and wasvery good. The pho was well seasoned (not overly salted like other places) and had excellent flavour. The chicken wings werewell cooked and the kids really enjoyed them. The service was really good. Our server was always checking up on our table andclearing our plates as needed. We really enjoyed our meal here and will be back. This is now our go to place for Vietnamesefood in Royal Oak. Great costumer service! I had Beef Pho Soup and it was really great. The amount of meats was very generous and so is the noodle.... The broth was excellent, I would probably like a bit more in the bowl. It was the first time I tried shredded pork salad rollsand it wasn?t what I was expecting. The texture felt dry, but the seasoning was good. Perhaps because I?m not used to it. TheBBQ Pork Salad roll was excellent, the seasoning was perfect, good spice. The peanut sauce, I personally prefere a more peanuty,creamy sauce that is not so dark and transparent like molasses. For the service and good food, I?ll still give a 5 star to thisplace.
