Was rather underwhelmed by my first time trying this pizza. I had expected better, given the quality of the food in the dining... part of Mercato. This pizza was very basic, crust was unremarkable and not very crispy, toppings were quite sparse. I willlikely stick with Nikos or Una in future, as this was not stand out in any way. Read more
Actually the best pizza in Calgary! The dough is amazing and toppings are always plentiful and super fresh. Not joking, the... pizza is so good that it put both my sister and I into labour on 2 separate occasions. Our babies were both born the next dayafter having Pizza Mercato. It's actually that good.... We are regular customers at the dine-in Mercato location (where they don't serve pizza) and the food is always top notch.... Unfortunately, like other reviewers, we expected top quality pizza because of the association. This is the worst pizza I've hadin my life. It's similar to Pizza Hut- thick, greasy tasteless crust. A little crispy but the flavour was just salt and grease.The toppings were fresh and generous but unfortunately there's no compensating for the blob of disgusting dough that it sat on. Read more

Awesome pizza!! They're mixing super fresh italian toppings with a much more substantial crust than your standard Neapolitan... wood-fired pizza- super satisfying. The cheese and sauce are fantastic, and they're firing them just long enough to brown themozzarella. After writing this I might need to order another... Priced reasonably, one pizza feeds two people well. Onlycomplaint is the counter is hidden away at the back of the restaurant. No signage outside to direct you behind the building.Coming from inside you're directed to an "Authorized personnel only" door. A friend came to the restaurant looking for thepizza and found it's not on the restaurant menu, ended up eating a pricey pasta dinner when they just wanted a quick tastypizza. Should be an easy fix.
