Awesome spot. We couldn’t quite peg if we felt more Hawaiian or Caribbean, but it’s a delight to find either in Canada. More... vintage Cuban speakeasy than tiki bar. We used to visit this cocktail bar for years until the recent close for renovations… it was sad to see the menu so small and... the cocktails list shortened. Our mezcal cocktail had no Smokey taste and had a syrup flavor. I hope they can get back to theold standards, it was a gem! Read more
Wow! What killer cocktails! Simi and Virginia are the best! One of my favourite places downtown!
My friend and I tried several dishes (the sweet potato fries, the corn, the romaine, and the empanadas). Everything was... delicious. My friend loved her mixed drinks and I loved the Dandy beer they had on tap. Service was extremely attentive. Everystaff member we encountered was genuinely pleasant. John the bartender served cocktails to cover the spectrum. The Hawaiian Ryan and Lights Out worked the rum range. Cashew nuts... fit. His own Black River is an obvious hit. Every good drink has a story and a craftsman. The Caribbean theme and music made theplaces groove. Read more
The patio is super cute and nice atmosphere. Only downside is that it's currently facing a ton of construction and it's hard to... get to also for that reason. Not a lot of food on the menu and some items are a bit pricey, but the food is delicious andservice is great. The cheese empanadas are my favourite! Read more
