Stopped into the Rose & Crown Pub before a concert and the Saddledome. Haven't been there in years and definitely wasn't... disapointed. We had a party of six. No issues getting a table. We all had drinks and some dinner. Waitress was super attentivewith filling beverages. Great selection of beers on tap. Food was delicious. We had some wings and nachos. All very fresh andgood portion sizes. Couple of the guys had burgers. Very tasty and filling. All in all, a good way to start our night! Read more

Finally got to The Rose & Crown pub. Felt like I was actually in Dublin, such an authentic and wonderful pub atmosphere. We went... for their Wednesday night Wings night. Delicious wings and a selection of 8 different flavours. Wings are .44$ each, you can'tbeat that deal. We ordered hot/Buffalo, Jamaican Jerk, Teriyaki and Mango Bourbon. All were very tasty but my personalfavourites were the Jamaican Jerk (such good spice flavours) and the Buffalo because I love a little spice in my life. Westarted with the "to die for" spinach dip which comes with the freshest bread for dipping. We also ordered the truffle fries- alarge shareable portion in a V shaped server ( wish I had taken a photo) and well seasoned with seasoning and parmesan cheese.Very tasty indeed! Naturally, we had several rounds of Guinness to go with our meal. Each one perfectly poured ???? Our onlydisappointment was that they didn't have the Guinness Chocolate Cheesecake available :(. We ordered the Sticky Toffee Puddinginstead which was a delicious alternative. The service was great. Jordan, our waitress, was friendly, helpful, and veryefficient and knew when to drop by our table just when we wanted to order something else. I LOVED the food! Excellent service, kind waitress' rustic decor. Felt cozy. I was visiting Calgary this weekend and found this... pub and had an amazing time. Great portions , the salad was so good. Nachos were delicious and would be perfect for a group offriends willing to share. A little while into our meal the manager came up , introduced himself, and offered me, my mom and mybrother tickets to tonight's Flames vs Canucks game. Nice and cozy pub for a good night out with friends and co-workers. They have lots of smart tv?s for sports game. They also have... plenty of tables on both upper and main floor. I find the upper a bit quiet, yet scary (this is a former funeral home) and thewaitress enjoyably told us some creepy stories haha. I wish they renovate their interior more. Excellent service, great selection of beer and a buzzing atmosphere even on a weeknight. I arrived to just Bar Snacks and Pizza... being available. The SBC pizza had great flavour but the steak was chewy and the crust soggy (couldn't pick it up, had to use aknife and fork). Would definitely go back for the beer and try other items in the full menu. Read more
