Haven't eaten but called to ask if their food was halal. Was given a yes but just to make sure I asked to speak to the manager.... The manager who I spoke to responded very rudely and confrontational off the bat for a simple question. Ended up cutting thecall on me for just making sure this food met my dietary restriction. Best cassava I've had - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Their BBQ plates are very flavorful and the meat is juicy... and tender. Try to get in early before as they get busy by the end of the night. Read more
We ordered the Forodhani platter. It came with 2 skewers of chicken mishkaki, 2 skewers beef mishkaki, 1/2 chicken, 1/2 pound... ribs and 2 skewers shrimp. Also got masala chips and naan. It was delicious, but not what you get at Forodhani in Zanzibar. All the spices were tandoori. Read more

we ordered this food last night and i cannot stop thinking about it. everything was cooked to perfection and the flavours were... amazing. portion sizes were great and pricing is extremely cheap for the amount of food you get. if i could rate this restaurant10 stars i would! Read more
Good flavour, however at $55 for a platter with just meat is not worth it especially now a days. Maybe pictures for dine in... looks like a bigger portion? That's mainly the reason we ordered, first time ordered from this place. Read more
A favourite of ours for East African food, service and atmosphere. We have tried many like restaurants from Toronto to... Vancouver, and none of them match the taste, freshness and consistency. To our surprise our lunch for two was considerably more expensive ($65) than what the menu showed. The explanation was the menu... was out dated, the food was decent but not worth the expensive price. The bait and switch sales tactic, general clutter andoverflowing urinal ensured we won't return.
