I have always loved my experience at the Himalayan. Incredible mouthwatering food, great service and we always leave with a... smile on our face. We haven't had a chance to come back since we moved further away from the place. Booked a reservation for mywife's birthday for nostalgia sake, and they did not disappoint. Loved the food so much that we both forgot to take the picturesbefore eating, and they brought us cassava cake with a candle which brought out the inner child in my wife. I can definitely say that this is a great place. First time I got to taste their dishes was when I was with my mom. She and I... were visiting a friend in the area. We were told to try this place since it's already lunch time and we were craving somethingdelicious. The inside was neat and simple yet very nice and easy to the eyes with a nice ambiance. Finally decided to try this place, been living in the area for years now and have never been. I have been to several other... similar cuisine restaurants to this and I was excited to see there take on dishes. My group and I ordered the Maccha Tareko appetizer to start, the fish was not bad, the sauce was unique, after that my Chai arrived, now the chai was not bad I justwish that it was a bit bigger, a few other v places give you an entire tea pot for the same price. As for the mains I orderedthe poleko grill lamb with saffron rice and garlic Naan, my partner ordered the Dal Bhat lamb. My lamb dish was quite nice, the lamb was tender and well seasoned, the garlic Naan was also adequate but the amount was a bit less then what I wasexpecting, I found the saffron rice to be a bit mild. My partners dish had a variety of different flavors, the curry hereisn't a spicy so if you prefer a more Tame curry this place is for you. I would say 3.5 stars, its not bad but for me it wasn'texceptional. Not sure I would go back. Read more
A great restaurant. Himalayan food is closed to Indian but it's not as spicy hot. The Indian food base is already hot, here you... can choose to make it hot but by default it's not hot. It's very tasty and we tried everything. Grilled lamb was great, thecurries were delicious, and the Momo's were there best. My favorites were the coconut naan and the eggplant dish. The dessertswere great as well, would recommend the mango ice cream. The service was the bonus. Exceptional service to go with the greatfood makes this a must try. Read more
