Great place if you like meat and seafood. I have been here several times and the quality is consistently very solid - sometimes... you might give it a 4 star, but more often a 5 star. For this meal, I got the smoked old fashion (true to the name - a bit smokyand even had a little bit of a lemon aftertaste) as the starting cocktail followed by the mushroom soup, crab cake, and the beeftenderloin. The mushroom soup was creamy and strong in mushroom flavor - it was not too salty. Similarly, the crab cake wasrich in flavor with a mostly crispy outer layer (it got a bit soggy with the mandarin orange sitting on top of it). The beeftenderloin was extremely tender and cooked perfectly to medium rare - your knife will slice through it like butter. Theaccompanying potato cake is creamy and delicious while the asparagus is more regular but a welcomed green to the plate. Dessertwas a warm chocolate brownie which was soft, smooth, and not too sweet. Vintage is a place I still recommend and would plan tocome back to! Read more
We went to Vintage Chophouse for their Happy Hour cuisine with our kids. Unfortunately, it only applied for dining in the... lounge. The server and the staff were quite accommodating. They offered to serve us one item from an old Happy Hour menu. Theburger was cooked medium rare and tasted perfectly. We also had the ribeye! It was amazing! The service is very good, the quality and origin of each meat is carefully introduced, and the environment is suitable for... dating. The wine is also very good. There are many kinds of wine. We had an incredible experience at the Vintage Chophouse during our stay in Calgary. Service was amazing with our waiter (who I... can't unfortunately remember the name). He was so patient and so sweet with us. Took his time to answer to our questions (thisexperience being our first time in a steakhouse) and even gave us recommendations for places to visit during our trip inAlberta. We had onion soup along with the medium rare cowboy steak (34oz) to share for two, and this cut came with 2 sides,which we chose to be garlic mushrooms, and asparagus. The meat was so tasty, well cooked and well seasoned. It was obviously waytoo much food for two people (adding the fact that they gave bread and butter as appetizer - the whipped butter was absolutelyto die for by the way), so we took the rest back home and had an amazing steak breakfast the day after!
