Reviews for Bollywood Masala in California, MD
Ordering Indian food from a new restaurant is always a risk because it's so expensive. While I felt this place was considerably... overpriced, it was in fact good. I got the kids chicken Tikka, mixed veggie appetizer, onion kulcha, and lamb saag. The Tikkawas not in a sauce. It actually appeared to be tandoori...whatever it was, it was great. Probably the best I've had. Vegappetizer was standard. Onion kulcha...good but I've had better. Same with the lamb saag. Would order again if the prices werelower. It was over $60 for what I ordered. Can't think I've ever gone wrong with a meal here. If you like spicy, truly spicy, this restaurant will definitely deliver... although you can enjoy plenty of dishes that are not spicy at all. Everything I've ever had has been full of flavor, decentportions, and good service. Read more
Bellwood came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Definitely going back to try more of the huge menu. I had the Shrimp... Mango, a mild to medium tomato based sauce. Definitely would get again but trying other sauces, too. The waitress was superhelpful making a selection. Read more

Came at dinner time, not too busy where we were sat. Took an hour on the dot to get after ordering, rice comes in a shared bowl,... portions were too small for the overall price, and it's a bit of a nickel-and-dime establishment (pay $3 for soda and $2 perrefill, $5 for each slice of bread/naan, $6 for a 6oz tea, etc.) We paid $80 for 3 people. I got goat masala ($22) which came ina small bowl (about 8 oz) and was packed full of bones, i ended up with 2 oz of bones 4oz of meat and 2oz of curry sauce.Overall, the service and portions are just not worth the price.
